Using the Grinder
-
Press and release ‘START’ button to begin grinding.
N.B. If the bean hopper and grind chamber are not properly in place, the grinder will not operate. -
Grinding will automatically stop once the pre-set quantity of beans have been ground.
-
To manually stop the operation, slide the cup quantity selector all the way to the left to the ‘OFF’ position and the appliance will stop. To restart, reposition the cup quantity selector to the desired number of cups and press and release the ‘START’ button.
-
To remove the grind chamber, simply pull away from the mains unit. Always ensure the motor has stopped completely before removing any parts. The coffee can be used or stored with the grind chamber lid fitted, ready for use.

Hints & Tips
- The following table highlights the general grind settings required for basic types of coffee. As there are 6 settings per grind type, you will have to experiment with different grind settings to determine the right consistency to suit your taste.
Grind Position
| Grind Result
---|---
-
Coarse
-
Medium
-
Fine |
-
Percolator/Cafetière
-
Filter
-
Espresso
-
When choosing fine settings, you may need to set the cup selector at a higher number of cups to get the desired amount of coffee, as fine grinds are very compact.
-
When choosing coarse settings, you may need to set the cup selector at a lower number of cups to get the desired amount of coffee, as coarse grinds are very loose.
-
You may also vary the strength of the coffee by increasing or decreasing the quantity of cups, i.e. select a greater quantity than actually required for a stronger flavour and vice versa.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Always ensure the plug has been removed from the mains before cleaning.
- The bean hopper and grind chamber are dishwasher safe, and we recommend washing them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Due to high water temperature, washing these parts on the bottom rack may cause damage over time.
- Never immerse the housing base in water or other liquid.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners on the housing base. To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Apply any cleaning agent to the cloth, not directly to the housing base.
- Use the cleaning brush provided to clean the grind release area.
- Use the cord wrap on the underside of the housing base to store excess cord.
