pro master 7225 Stabilizer’ 8 in 1 Custom Tripod System Instruction Manual
Thank you for your purchase of the ProMaster AI428C ‘The Stabilizer’ 8 in 1 Custom Tripod System. The AI428C is more than just a tripod, it is a unique custom solution for all of your stabilization needs. You can build a mega tripod with a working height of almost 85″ or a tabletop tripod with a working height of just 4 5/8″. Use it as a standard monopod, a stabilized video monopod, a “selfie” stick, a trekking pod, or a camera or microphone boom. Assemble the parts in dozens of configurations to suit your shooting needs. The high quality carbon fiber construction means a strong, lightweight go- anywhere stabilization system.
Parts Identification
PRIMARY TRIPOD – SHOWN ASSEMBLED
The basic primary tripod is built using the primary legs, adjustable yoke, and
standard center column.
PRIMARY LEGS
The system includes 3 28mm carbon fiber primary legs. Each leg has a removable
rubber foot. These legs can be assembled into the PRIMARY TRIPOD, used alone
or along with the center column to build a monopod/videopod, assembled into a
trekking pod, or assembled together to create a boom arm. Each leg has a 3/8”
mounting screw that can be used to mount most standard tripod heads. Hint: Use
the leg with the foam grip when building a monopod or a trekking pod.
ADJUSTABLE YOKE
The adjustable yoke is used to build the primary tripod or the compact tripod.
The three position leg angle adjustments allow for low angle shooting.
STANDARD CENTER COLUMN
The standard center column can used in the primary tripod, compact tripod,
monopod and boom arm configurations. It’s components include a reversible ¼-20
/ 3/8” mounting screw that allows mounting of most tripod heads or cameras
directly; a removable mounting plate and hand strap; and a removable weight
hook.
COMPACT TRIPOD LEGS
The AI428C system includes 3 quick adjusting compact tripod legs. To extend or
retract, twist the leg section to loosen the leg, set the desired length and
twist the leg section to lock in place. The compact tripod legs can be used to
build a table top tripod along with the yoke and center column. The rubber
feet from the primary legs or the spiked feet can be used with these legs.
They can also be added to the primary tripod to make a giant tripod with a
working height of almost 85” or combined to make a boom or “selfie stick”. The
mounting thread size of 3/8” will accommodate most standard tripod heads.
SHORT CENTER COLUMN
The short center column can replace the standard center column. It allows for
extreme low angle shooting. It has a reversible ¼ – 20 / 3/8” mounting screw
to accommodate most tripod heads or cameras.
BASIC TWO-WAY CAMERA HEAD
The basic two-way camera head can be used to mount a camera or the mobile
phone holder to the tripod / monopod / or boom. The basic head is perfect in
the “selfie stick” configuration.
MOBILE PHONE MOUNT
The mobile phone mount allows you to mount many smart phones with a camera to
the AI428C system components. It mounts to a ¼ – 20 thread and can be attached
to the basic head or center columns directly. An ideal component when building
a “selfie stick”.
ADJUSTABLE ANGLE BOOM MOUNT
The adjustable angle boom mount mounts to the tripod or monopod and allows you
to use your camera at a variety of angles. This is particularly useful when
photographing documents, artwork, or other flat objects. In addition, you can
use this mount to mount a camera or microphone boom to the tripod. The
adjustable tension panning feature gives you more precise control of your
boom.
MONOPOD STABILIZER STAND
Attach the monopod component to this stand to get extra stability and smoother
panning when using the monopod to shoot video.
LEG SPIKES
Replace the rubber feet on the tripod or monopod with these leg spikes to add
extra stability outdoors on uneven surfaces. The leg spike is also a key
component when building a trekking pod.
TREKKING POD GRIP
The trekking pod grip adds a comfortable surface to grip when using the
trekking pod component of the AI428C
