  1. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
  2.  If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord; and
  3.  The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Before First Use

Unpack the Ice Maker

  1. Remove all packaging materials, such as plastic bags and foam inserts. Check to ensure that all parts and accessories are included before throwing out packaging.
  2. Read and remove any stickers on the ice maker except for the rating label, which should remain on the unit.
  3.  The incline angle of the ice maker cabinet should not exceed 45° during transportation or use. Do not turn the ice maker upside down. Doing so could cause the compressor or refrigerating system to operate incorrectly.

Install the Ice Maker

  1. Place the unit on a stable surface away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. Keep at least 6 inches of clearance around the air inlet and air outlet to ensure proper ventilation.
  2. Twist the four black feet at the bottom of unit until the unit is level and does not wobble.
  3. THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES A WATER SUPPLY AND DEDICATED GRAVITY (FLOOR) DRAIN FOR CONTINUOUS OPERATION. Connect one end of the included drain hose to the drain outlet on the back of the unit, and the other end to a floor drain. The floor drain must not be elevated more than 6 inches above the drain outlet. If the floor drain is not in close proximity to the unit, another connecting hose (not provided) can be used.
  4. The unit must be connected to a COLD water supply line for operation. To avoid damage to your plumbing, we recommend having a professional plumber connect a standard ¼-inch tube to the water line. Once installed, with the water feed off, insert the other end of the ¼-inch tube into the push-to-connect fitting in the back of the unit. Turn the water feed on before powering up the unit. A ¼-inch Refrigerator Water Line Kit can be purchased separately to create the water line feed needed.
  5. IMPORTANT: Wait 2 hours for the refrigerant fluid to settle before plugging the unit in for the first time. Anytime the unit is subsequently moved, wait 30 minutes before plugging in to allow the fluid to settle.
  6. Before making ice for the first time, clean the unit by following the instructions on p. 12.
  7. The ice scoop can hang on the hook inside the ice bin when not in use.

How to Make Ice
The ice maker completes a batch of restaurant-style ice in less than 15 minutes, perfect for all of your ice needs.

  1. Plug the installed unit into the outlet. The segmented display will show “–”. NOTE: If the unit has been moved since its last use, it should rest for 30 minutes before being plugged in. Make sure the water line is installed and flowing before beginning to make ice.
  2.  Press the MAKE ICE button. The ice-making cycle will begin and the Ice light will illuminate.
  3. The segmented display will count down the time for each ice-making cycle until the next batch of ice is ready. The first batch of ice after powering on should take about 20 minutes, with subsequent batches taking 10 to 15 minutes, depending on ice size.
  4. The unit keeps making ice until the basket is full and the ice sled cannot reset automatically. At that point, the Full indicator light will illuminate.
  5. To remove ice, push the door until it is opened fully and remove the ice as needed with the ice scoop.
  6. When enough ice is removed, the ice maker will enter ice-making mode again.
  7. To turn off ice making and put the unit back in standby mode, press the MAKE ICE button at any time.
  8. To change the size of your ice, press the ICE SIZE button to toggle through the choices of small, medium, or large (S/M/L will display on the segmented display). You can select a new size in standby mode or at any point during the ice-making cycle, but the size will not change until a new ice-making cycle begins.
NOTE: Though the ice maker is insulated, it is not a freezer. Ice that is
not removed and used will eventually melt and drain through the drain hose. However, during normal use when ice making is on, the unit will continually replenish the ice to keep the bin full. When the bin is full and ice-making is turned off, it will take about 48 hours for the ice in the bin to melt completely.

How to Use the Delay Start Function

The Delay Start function allows you to set a timer for when you’d like to begin ice making. To set the timer, the unit must first be in standby mode. (If it is in ice-making mode, press the MAKE ICE button first to put it back in standby mode.)

  1. Press the DELAY START button to set a default timer of 1 hour. To add time, continue to press DELAY START and it will add time in 1-hour increments, up to 48 hours.
  2. While adjusting the timer, you can reset the timer to the default of 1 hour by holding down the DELAY START button for 5 seconds.
  3. The Delay light will blink while you are adjusting the time. After you’ve reached your desired time, the icon will continue to blink for 5 seconds, then turn solid as the timer begins counting down. The display will show the remaining time in hours (or in minutes when less than 1 hour remains).
  4. If you wish to cancel the timer once set, you can press the MAKE ICE button to immediately begin the ice-making cycle OR press and hold the DELAY START button for 5 seconds to return to standby mode.

Keep It Clean

To keep your ice tasting fresh and your ice maker in prime condition, the ice maker should be cleaned when the Clean and Due indicator lights blink together. The ice maker will still be able to function while it is indicating a cleaning is due, but these two lights will not turn off until a cleaning cycle is performed. To clean the unit:

  1. Make sure all ice has been removed from the bin and the unit is no longer making ice before starting the cleaning cycle.
  2. Use a commercial descaling powder to clean the unit. Prepare it according to the package directions and add to the water reservoir.
  3. With the unit in standby mode, press the CLEAN MODE button. The Clean light will turn solid and the Due light will turn off. The unit will run an automatic cleaning cycle that lasts about 30 minutes. it runs, the segmented display will count down the time remaining in the cycle.
  4. After the cleaning cycle finishes, the unit will go back into standby mode.
  5. Remove the reservoir plug from the water reservoir (see drawing below) and let the water drain completely.
  6. Rinse the water reservoir and ice bin thoroughly with warm water and wipe it dry with paper towels or a clean cloth.
  7. Reinstall the reservoir plug securely.
  8.  If the unit will not be used for a lon  time, empty the water in the unit, wipe it with a clean cloth, and store it in a cool place. If it is moved before using again, let it sit for 30 minutes before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant fluid to settle.

Having Trouble?

If the ice maker encounters a problem, the Attn indicator light will blink and an error code will display on the panel. Below is a guide to what the codes mean.

Error Code What It Means Solution

  2. Check the drain plug for any water leakage.
