Quick start guide
This quick start guide contains important information on the safe operation of the device. Read and follow the safety advice and instructions given. Retain the quick start guide for future reference. If you pass on the device please include this quick start guide.
Safety instructions
Intended use
This device is used to tune ukuleles. Any other use or use under other
operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal
injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting
from improper use.
Danger for children
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not
within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that
children do not detach any small parts from the product. They could swallow
the pieces and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.
Where to use the product
Never use the product
- in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
- in extremely dusty or dirty areas
- at locations where the unit can become wet
General handling
- To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.
- Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners, or flammable cleaning agents.
- Turn off the device when not in use. If the device is not used for a long period of time, remove the battery in order to protect the device from damage from leaking batteries.
Keep foreign substances from the unit!
Keep the device away from containers with liquids. Should any liquid get into
the unit, this could lead to its destruction, fire, or electric shock. Be sure
not to let any metal objects into the unit.
Electromagnetic compatibility with other electrical devices If the device is
operated near radios or televisions, interference may occur. Then increase the
distance between the devices.

Using the device
- Connect the device to your instrument using the clip.
- Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to turn the device on or of. If the device does not detect any signal for 3 minutes after switching on, it will switch of automatically.
- Select the tuning mode. To do this, press the button repeatedly to select “Chromatic”, “Ukulele (key of C)” or “Ukulele (key of D)” as the tuning method.
*If you choose Chromatic, the display shows the note name.
- If you select “Ukulele”, the display shows the string number and the note name.
4. If you play a single note on your instrument, the note name or string number is displayed.
The background lighting changes and the Fine-tuning display comes on.
• If the background lighting changes to green and the indicator pointer is in the middle, the string is correctly tuned.
• If the background lighting changes to blue and the display points to the left, the string is tuned too low.
• If the background lighting changes to blue and the display points to the right, the string is tuned too high.
Replacing the battery
Press the battery compartment cover as marked on the back of the device. Open the compartment and insert a fresh 2032 battery, carefully observing the polarity. The service life of the battery depends on the conditions of use. If the device does not work as described in this quick start guide, and switching it off and on again does not solve the problem, remove the battery and reinsert it to possibly correct the problem.

For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials

hazardous waste. To protect the environment, dispose of empty batteries at
your retail store or at appropriate collection sites.
