Assembly & Instructions

The Weed Razer Pro comes fully assembled. Simply snap the handles together with the handle connectors.

Step 1
Press the spring-loaded buttons on one end of the handle connector, slide it into the open end of the handle, and turn it until the buttons snap into the holes in the handle.

Step 2
Open the cutting blades wider to one of the four blade positions based on the density of the aquatic vegetation. A narrow blade position will work best for dense vegetation. With the blade covers still on, press the spring-loaded buttons on both sides of the center strut and slide toward the handle. You may need to carefully pull outward on a blade arm to assist. Make sure the spring- loaded buttons snap into the locked position before use.

Operating Instructions

Step 1
Throw the Weed Razer out and over area to be cleared. If you are on a dock, tie the rope to a post so you don’t throw too far.

Step 2
Let the Weed Razer sink.

Step 3
Pull back in using short, hard, jerking motions.
Repeat as many times as needed to clear your weeds.

Blade Sharpening Instructions

Blade Sharpening

Step 1
Always wear protective gloves when handling the Weed Razer.

Step 2
Stand the assembled Weed Razer up and grip the handle in one hand, or rest the handle of the Weed Razer against a wall or building.

Step 3
Kneel or sit in front of the Weed Razer in a stable position (Figure 1). Do not sharpen while standing or leaning over the cutting edge.

Step 4
Grip the handle of the Sharpener (H) so that the guard is between your hand and the blade surface.

Step 5
To remove burs from the blade surface, use the inserts on either side of the tool (1).

Step 6
To sharpen BOTH SIDES of the blade at once, use the carbide insert (3) with two pointed tips that form a V. Run the sharpener down the cutting edge in four to six strokes using less pressure as the edge gets sharper.

Step 7
To sharpen ONE SIDE of the blade only, use the insert (2) with one pointed carbide tip and one rounded metal guide. Press the inside edge of the carbide insert against the edge of the blade you want to sharpen. Run the carbide over the entire edge four to six times with consistent pressure. Repeat this process for the other side of the blade.
**NOTE: We recommend using the process in STEP 6 for greater consistency in sharpening.

**

Step 8
In the end of the sharpener’s handle (4), you will find a screw-in felt pad and oil for lubricating the blades. We encourage you to use the Weed Razer Sharpening Tool for all of your sharpening needs. When you are sharpening other tools that may rust or corrode, add a few drops of oil to the lubricating pad and apply to each blade after every sharpening.
