2) Small Open Ended Adjustable Wrench
3) Rubbing Alcohol

RV2458 Router Installation

  1. Remove cover plate from wall.

  2. A) Bring Blue Ethernet and Blue Power Cables through the wall.
    B) Carefully cut wire-tie & discard cover plate.

  3. A) Bring Blue Ethernet and Blue Power Cables through center hole of new cover plate.
    B) Screw new cover plate to wall using original mounting holes.

  4. Mount Router Control Unit to wall near the new cover plate as pictured using included screws.

  5. Connect Blue Ethernet and Blue Power Cables to RV2458 Control Unit as pictured.
    Router Control Unit & Interior Installation Complete.

RV2402 Installation


Remove 4 Machine Screws (#10-24 UNC Threaded) and 4 Lock Washers from housing on roof. Retain screws for reassembly.


Remove Machine Screw (#8-32 UNC Threaded Pan Head Screw). Retain screw for reassembly. Twist housing counter clockwise to unlock from mounting base.


Lift the housing off of base and disconnect radio and TV cables.
CAREFUL – Do not let cables fall back through antenna base into vehicle roof.


Attach paddle antenna connectors onto the 2 outside port connectors of the RV2402 Extender (each marked by a red dot) and secure using a small open ended adjustable wrench.
CAREFUL – Do not over tighten.


A)
To create a clean surface for the paddle antennas, wipe down the inside of the Wi-Fi / LTE housing with rubbing alcohol.
B) Peel off adhesive back from paddle antennas.
C) Firmly place into interior housing as shown.
IMPORTANT: Paddles should be positioned opposite from each other for best reception.

B) Peel off adhesive back from paddle antennas.
C) Firmly place into interior housing as shown.
IMPORTANT: 1 antenna should line up with the housing units Locking Screw Hole.


Reconnect TV / Radio cables. For Type A Antenna, Cut Wire tie from Blue Ethernet Cable connected to the tube.


Write down the mac address # and serial # from the label on the back of the RV2402 in the space provided below.

Place RV2402 Roof Repeater into base in location shown and screw to posts using included screws.
WARNING: Hand tighten with screw driver only.


A) Plug Blue Ethernet Cable into RV2402 Roof Repeater unit.
B) Wire tie Blue Ethernet Cable to center tube of base. (Type A Antenna)


A) Place housing back onto base. Make sure cables fit securely inside base, are not pinched, and do not interfere with RV2402 antennas.
B) To reassemble, use the 4 Machine Screws (#10-24 UNC Threaded) and 4 Lock Washers that were removed in Step 1A.
C) Installation complete.
WARNING – Make sure the O-ring is in place and screws are tight.


A)
Aligning the Housing Locking Screw Hole and Base Alignment Notch, place housing back onto base. Make sure cables fit securely inside base, are not pinched, and do not interfere with RV2402 antennas.
B) Twist housing clockwise to lock into place and secure together with the #8-32 UNC Threaded Pan Head Screw that was removed in Step 1B.
C) Installation complete.
WARNING – Make sure the 0-Ring is in place and pan head screw is tight.

Such cost are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. This warranty does not cover the cabinet appearance items or accessories used in connection with this product, or any damage to recording or recording tape, or any damage to the products resulting from improper installation, alteration, accident, misuse, abuse or acts of nature. MAGNADYNE CORPORATION OR ITS AUTHORIZED AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO ANYONE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES OR CLAIMS EXCEPT THOSE ACCORDED BY LAW. NO EXPRESSED WARRANTY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY IS GIVEN EXCEPT THOSE SET FORTH HEREIN. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY SHALL EXTEND BEYOND ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF SALE. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
