General safety instructions

Please read the instructions carefully prior to installing or using this device. Otherwise, the item‘s safety functions could be impaired. Please keep the instructions in a safe place for future reference.

Danger:

  • Avoid bringing the battery and/or electrical connection contacts on the unit into contact with metal objects.
  • If batteries have leaked, use chemical-resistant protective gloves and protective glasses.

Before first use

  • The socket may only be used by adults.
  • Make sure that the operating voltages of the Nightlight and the mains supply correspond.
  • When charging for the first time, remove the night light from the base, set the switch to position (fig. 1) and charge the night light in a suitable socket for between 8 and 10 hours.

Function

  • The night light only lights up during hours of darkness.
  • When the switch is in position , it will remain off even during hours of darkness.
  • The level of brightness is selected using (=) or (-).
  • The night light will automatically switch on at dusk.
  • When the surroundings become brighter, the Nightlight will switch off automatically.

Operating in the power point

  • Select the desired level of brightness and plug the mains plug into the socket.
  • The battery will charge when it is plugged into the mains.
  • The night light may remain permanently plugged into the socket.

Mobile operation

  • Select the desired level of brightness, plug the night light into the base with the mains plug pointed downwards (Fig. 1) and position it at the required location in the room.
  • If the light is no longer bright enough, or if it does not switch on during hours of darkness, the battery needs to be recharged.

NOTE:
When taking the LED Nightlight on a journey it is recommended that you switch the switch to position. This will prevent the light from inadvertently switching and discharging the battery.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Make sure that you disconnect the device from the main supply before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Clean the device with a damp cloth.

IMPORTANT! Never allow the device to come into contact with water or any other liquid!

Environmental protection:

  • Batteries and waste electronic equipment consist of raw materials and should be disposed of at a collection point for recycling batteries and electronic equipment and not with household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of batteries and waste electronic equipment properly.
