Part -1 – Mobile App & Configuration

  • Open the Swittons Mobile App and click on Add new device(V2)
  • On the next screen there will be the access point created by the device named as “SWITTON_XXXXX” where XXXXX will be the MAC address of the device.
  • Click on the device name. On the next screen click on “Connect” to connect mobile app to device.
  • Once connected, user will be able to Provision device to WiFi of choice.
  • On clicking Provision, on the next screen user will see list of available WiFi networks to choose from.
  • On choosing the WiFi user will be prompted to enter the WiFi password.
  • Once the WiFi connection is successful, the device status LED will turn GREEN.

Part-2- Authenticating and Usage of device

  • Once the status LED turns GREEN, the device is ready to use.
  • To start using the device, place an RFID card on the top panel of the device.
  • The device should make a beep sound indicating the recognition of the RFID card, the buttons can now be pressed.
  • In case, the user does not swipe/scan the RFID card, the button presses will not be sent to the server.
  • Each button press is accompanied by a buzzer sound and a BLUE LED blink over the button pressed to indicate the button press recognition.
  • Each RFID scan will be valid for 30 seconds, meaning after the user scan the RFID card, the button press window is 30 seconds after which the user will again have to scan/swipe the RFID card. However, a different RFID card can be scanned instantaneously which would then be valid for another 30 seconds.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

To maintain compliance with FCC’s RF Exposure guidelines, This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum 20cm distance between the radiator and your body: Use only the supplied antenna.
