USER MANUAL

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Do not drop or hit against your Capture 2s vigorously, which may cause damage to it.
  2.  Please do not spill any liquid onto your Capture 2s. It is recommended to use a soft dry cloth to clean it.
  3. Please avoid any sand or dust getting into your Capture 2s during use.
  4. When you power on Capture 2s. please hold the handle vertically and stably. Do not shake it during the startup process; otherwise, it may cause an abnormal startup.
  5. Before using your Capture 2s, please ensure that the power is sufficient.
  6. We recommend recharging and discharging Capture 2severy 3 months or so to maintain a healthy battery state.
  7. please do not charge your Capture 2s near flammables. Always keep an eye on the charging process to avoid any risk.
  8. Do not store your Capture 2s for a long time after its battery completely drains, which may cause damage to the battery cell you will not use it for a long time, please charge it to 45%-65% power (indicated by 2-3 bars in Capture2 App CO, then store it.
  9.  Do not use or Capture 25 near a fire source or in an environment with a high temperature of 60″C(1407) or above.
  10. Only use the original charging cable provided by VanTop to charge your Capture 2s.
  11. Capture 25 has a built-in lithium battery. please do not disassemble it by yourself.
  12. Do not dispose of your Capture 2s in your household waste due to the battery inside. Dispose of it following your local environmental laws and regulations.

CHARGE YOUR CAPTURE 2S
Please fully charge your Capture 2s before your first use. To charge it, connect a USB adapter (not included) to the Micro USB port with the USB cable provided.
Charging:
The Battery Level Indicator flashes red.
Fully Charged : The Battery Level Indicator turns solid green.

Tip: We recommend charging the Capture 2s in the power-off state.

MOUNT AND BALANCE A MOBILE PHONE

IMPORTANT:
Only mount and balance a mobile phone when your Capture 2s is powered off.
It’s not recommended to mount the mobile phone with a case.
Mount and Balance A Mobile Phone Horizontally
Step 1: Take out your Capture 2s from the Carrying Bag.
Step 2: Pull both sides of the Phone Holder outwards, place your phone into the holder, then release. Step 3: Unfold the Roll Axis rightwards to unlock the Buckle. Step 4: Adjust the Adjustable Arm to make your phone remain level.

How to Balance
If the Roll Axis has a rightward weight bias, please push in the Adjustable Arm(to the left) until the mobile phone remains level.

If the Roll Axis has a leftward weight bias, please pull out the Adjustable Arm(to the right) until the mobile phone remains level.

ID If your phone is too heavy to be balanced by the Adjustable Arm, you can stick the Counterweight onto the Tilt Motor. Width of phone: 55-88mm
Max. weight of phone: 260g
Tip :
If the phone is still not level after sticking the Counterweight, please repeat the steps Q and Q.
If the screen of your phone is not facing you, please slightly adjust the Phone Holder.

Mount and Balance A Mobile Phone Vertically
Step 1: Take out your Capture 2s from the Carrying Bag.

Step 2: Rotate the Phone Holder 90°.

Step 3: Pull both sides of the Phone Holder outwards, place your phone into the holder, then release.

Step 4: Unfold the Roll Axis rightwards to unlock the Buckle. Step 5: Adjust the Adjustable Arm to make your phone remain level.

How to Balance
If the Roll Axis has a rightward weight bias, please push in the Adjustable Arm(to the left) until the mobile phone remains level.

If the Roll Axis has a leftward weight bias, please pull out the Adjustable Arm(to the right) until the mobile phone remains level.

If the screen of your phone is not facing you, slightly move your phone upward or downward to adjust.

More precise adjustment can be achieved by the Phone Holder.

Download and Install the App
Option 1: Search for Capture2 on Apple Store? Google PlayTM, then download and install it on your mobile phone.

Connect to the Capture2 App
Step 1: Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone. Step 3: Launch Capture2 App.

Note:
If you are using the original camera app of your phone or the camera app from a third party, please go to the Bluetooth setting of your mobile device to connect to “Photo-Shutter”.

USE YOUR CAPTURE 2S
Controls and Operations
1. Power/Mode Button
Power On/Off Press and hold the Power/Mode Button for 3 seconds to power the Capture 2s on/off.

Gimbal Modes
After powering on, short press the Power/Mode Button to switch the gimbal modes between Pan & Tilt Follow Mode and FPV Mode.

Description

Solid Green| Pan & Tilt  Follow Mode (P&T F)| | The Roll Axis is locked, but the Tilt Axis and Pan Axis will move following the handle.
TIP:
You can switch to Pan Follow Mode(P F) by tapping Default Mode – HF
in Capture2 App.With this mode, only the Pan Axis will move following the handle.
Solid Blue| FPV Mode(FPV)| | First Person View mode, which indicates the Tilt Axis, Pan Axis, and Roll Axis will all move following the handle.

Operation Modes

  • This function is only applicable when the phone is horizontally mounted (see pages 04-08).
    After powering on, quickly press the Power/Mode Button twice to switch the operation modes between Portrait Mode and Landscape Mode.

Inception Mode

After powering on, quickly press the Power/Mode Button three times to enter the Inception Mode.
| Hold the gimbal horizontally.

Push and hold the Joystick leftward/ rightward to start shooting.
| Quickly press the Trigger twice to center the gimbal and exit the Inception Mode.

2. Battery Level Indicator

After powering on the Capture 2s, you can check the battery of Capture 2s from the Battery Level Indicator.

  • Solid Green: >30% power
  • Flash Red Slowly: 20%-30% power
  • Flash Red Quickly: <20% power; please charge it timely.

3. Joystick

  • Push the Joystick upward/downward to tilt the camera view of your phone.
  • Push the Joystick leftward/rightward to pan the camera view of your phone.

Tip: You can change the direction and the sensitivity of the Joystick by tapping Joystick sensitivity from Capture2 App.

4. Photo/Video Button

  1. Press the button once to take a photo.
  2. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to start recording; press and hold it for 2 seconds again to stop the recording.
  3. During the recording, press the button once to pause the recording and press it again to resume
  4. Double press to switch between the front camera and rear camera.

5. Handwheel

Adjust the Handwheel to zoom in or zoom out the image, but this function is only available when using Capture2 App.
Press the Handwheel once, then adjust the Handwheel to tilt the camera view of your phone by default; press it again to get back to Zoom Mode.

Tip: You can change the direction and sensitivity of the Handwheel by tapping Q- 0-Zoom speed from Capture2 App.

6. Trigger

Press and hold the Trigger to enter Locked Mode, and release it to get back to the previous gimbal mode. In Locked Mode, the Mode Indicator will turn solid red, the Tilt Axis, Pan Axis, and Roll Axis are all locked, which indicates your phone will be kept in the same orientation regardless of the handle’s movements.
Quickly press the Trigger twice to center the gimbal.

Tip : To ensure the gimbal can be centered quickly and resume following, the final position of the Pan Axis will be within a range of ±5°from the true center. The Joystick can be used to fine-tune the gimbal to the true center.
ED Press the Trigger button once, then press and hold it to enter Action Mode. The Mode Indicator will flash green. This essentially makes the gimbal more responsive to movements by increasing the motor speed.
7. Manual Lock
Manually adjust an axis (except for Roll Axis) to a certain position and hold it for more than 2s, your phone will be kept in the orientation you prefer. This is to help you focus on your shooting target.

Note: This function is only applicable in Pan & Tilt Follow Mode(P&T F) and Pan Follow Mode(P F) when the Mode Indicator is solid green.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

2. Bluetooth connection failed in the Capture2 App.
Please make sure only one phone is connected with Capture 2s via the app.
Please disable Capture2 App in the background, then launch it again to connect.
3. The Mode Indicator flashes red.
The auto protection of the gimbal will be triggered when:

  • no phone is installed.
  • the weight of your phone is over the max. loading weight of the gimbal(260g).
  • The phone is not balanced correctly.

If there is no operation within 2 minutes when the indicator flashes red, the gimbal will be automatically powered off. You can install and balance the phone within 2 minutes, then short press the Power/Mode button to solve this issue.

4. The Pan Axis slightly moves.

  • Please calibrate the gimbal by tapping Initializing Sensor

5. The phone cannot be balanced.

  •  Please follow the instructions from page 4 to page 12.
  • Do not mount your phone with a case.
  • The balance of the phone can only be adjusted as much as possible, and the gimbal will automatically balance it after powering on even though it is slightly skewed.
