Operation

  • Only use slim, temperature-resistant containers holding approx. 0.25 litres.
  • Place the container on a heat resistant insulating pad (e.g. a ceramic tile) to avoid heat transfer to the worktop.
  • Before using the appliance for the first time as well as after having decalcified it, we recommend to boil clear water with the immersion heater for five times and not to use this water. This is especially important for persons suffering from an allergy.
  • In principle put the appliance into the water before taking it into use and only take it out of the water approx. 15 seconds after having unplugged it!
  • The marks indicated on the immersion heater show the maximum and minimum water level. The water level must not exceed or fall below these marks as otherwise the appliance will be damaged (no right to claim under guarantee!).
  • The immersion coil heater is equipped with an overheating protection which, in order to protect the user, switches off forever in case of dry use.
  • Should the immersion heater show a dark or bluish colour, there is no right to claim under guarantee. In this case the immersion heater was used without or with an insufficient quantity of water.
  • In general immersion heaters may only be used for heating water. They must not be used to heat oil or other liquids.

Before cleaning unplug the appliance and let it cool down. There is no need for a special cleaning and maintenance, in case of a strong lime deposit we recommend to heat the immersion heater in some water mixed with vinegar or citric acid.
