PROFESSIONAL ACCESSORIES
Includes premium desktop stand and professional shock mount for connecting to
mic stand or boom arm.
USB-C CONNECTIVITY
Tempest connects to any Mac or PC with the included USB-C to USB-A cable.
GETTING STARTED WITH TEMPEST
First, remove Tempest from its packaging and attach the included arm mount to the bottom of the microphone. Rotate and tighten as needed so that the gain/volume/mute controls are in front of you and the microphone is firmly attached to the arm mount. You are now ready to attach Tempest to the included desktop stand. Alternatively, you can attach Tempest to the included professional shock mount to mount Tempest to a mic stand or boom arm. As above, ensure Tempest’s controls are facing you when you want to record or stream. Once mounted to your mic stand of choice, connect Tempest to your computer with the included USB-C to USB-A cable. The violet capsule LED should illuminate, which indicates that the microphone is now powered.
Next, position the microphone a few inches away from your mouth. That’s it! You’re all set to capture studio-quality audio. Enjoy!

POPULAR SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY
With universal compatibility and driverless installation, it’s easy to use Tempest with your favorite software. Tempest works seamlessly with the apps and software you already use including Garageband, iMovie, Zoom, Facetime, Skype, Audacity, Logic Pro, and more. Choose Tempest as your audio input in the software of your choice, and begin to capture studio-quality audio.
MIC GAIN CONTROL
The Gain knob controls the sensitivity of the microphone. Set it too low, and your audience may not be able to hear your voice. Set it too high and the microphone will be exceptionally sensitive, making your voice unbearably loud for your listeners. Setting the gain too high can also lead to excessive background noise and distortion. The best way to avoid gain issues is to take time to set your levels. Spend a few minutes experimenting to find the right balance and you’ll be on your way to professional sound quality in no time.
SIDE ADDRESS
Tempest is a side-address microphone with a cardioid polar pattern. This means that sound is captured from the front of the microphone, not the top. So you should speak, sing, or play facing the onboard controls. With a cardioid pickup pattern, Tempest captures audio directionally from the front and rejects audio from the sides and back.
