Tips
-
If you want to stop running, please press the “cancel” button.
-
Use a plastic film or bag (20cm -28cm width) with emboss and 0.2-0.29mm thickness.
-
Try to keep the bag smooth during the vacuum sealing process. Wrinkles in the bag can keep residual air in the bag and cause food spoilage.
-
Although the plastic material of the bags is quite strong, it can be punctured by sharp items. So if you are sealing foods with sharp edges (pasta, dried fruits, etc.), use some common plastic wrap before vacuum sealing. This will protect the bag from being punctured.
-
If the vacuum pump continues to run. Press the “cancel” button to make it stop. Check if the condition of the sealed seal is good. Then place the open end of the bag smoothly and correctly, and lock the cover.
Start the appliance again. -
To vacuum seal the foods not frozen, two extra inches are required for bag length to allow for expansion while freezing.
-
Due to the risk of anaerobic bacteria, fresh mushrooms, onions, garlic, and soft cheese should never be vacuum packaged.
VACUUM PACKAGING AND FOOD SAFETY
-
The vacuum packaging process extends the life of foods by removing most of the air from the sealed container, thereby reducing oxidation, which affects nutritional value, flavor, and overall quality.
Removing air can also inhibit the growth of microorganisms, which can cause problems under certain conditions. -
To preserve foods safely, it is critical that you maintain low temperatures. You can significantly reduce the growth of microorganisms at temperatures of 4°C (40°F) or below. Freezing at -17°C (0°F) does not kill microorganisms, but stops them from growing. For long-term storage, always freeze perishable foods that have been vacuum packaged, and keep them refrigerated after thawing.
-
It is important to note that vacuum packaging is NOT a substitute for canning and it cannot reverse the deterioration of foods. It can only slow down the changes in quality. It is difficult to predict how long foods will retain their top-quality flavor, appearance, or texture because it depends on the age and condition of the food on the day it was vacuumed packaged.
-
IMPORTANT: Vacuum packaging is NOT a substitute for refrigeration or freezing. Any perishable foods that require refrigeration must still be refrigerated or frozen after vacuum packaging.
-
The Vacuum Sealer also protects non-food items from oxidation, corrosion, and moisture. Simply follow the directions to vacuum package items using vacuum bags, canisters, and accessories.
Attention
-
To pack the food containing little water
The water will flow into the interior of the appliance, resulting in failure. So please use a kitchen towel to remove the moisture, or use a plastic wrap or a disposable plastic wrap to carry out vacuum packaging.
A slightly frozen state will facilitate the vacuum packaging. -
To pack powder food
The powder may be inhaled. Before the vacuum packaging, please put it into a disposable plastic bag. -
To pack fruits and vegetables
It is not recommended to vacuum fruits and vegetables which are fragile or with a high amount of water.
When vacuum-packed, the food will be pressured to generate extra water and gas to make the bag bulge.
All vegetables (including broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, turnips) naturally emit gases and swell the vacuum bag after a few days, it is recommended to pre-freeze them and keep them refrigerated after vacuum packaging. -
To pack the liquid food
It must not be vacuum packed, only need to be sealed.
When sealing liquid food, place the appliance higher than the food.
Storage
For vacuum-packed food (except dehydrated food), frozen storage is advised.
For packaged vegetables, please eat in 2 weeks, to avoid rot.
Microwave
If you want to put the vacuum-packed food in a microwave, punch a hole in the
plastic bag first. SUITABLE
FOR THAWING IN THE MICROWAVE TO MAX. 70 ° C.
CLEANING
- Unplug the appliance. Always let the appliance cool off completely before you clean it.
- Wipe the appliance with a soft damp cloth. It should be kept as its cover unlocked.
PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
If there is any exception, please check the following:
Abnormal condition | Inspection items |
---|---|
Do not work | 1. Check whether it is plugged into the socket. |
2. Check if the plug is damaged.
3. Check whether it is used continuously.
Cannot be sealed| 1. Check whether the bag is folded or uneven.
2. Check whether the cover is locked in place.
3. Check whether the sealing strip is damaged.
4. Check if there is any leftover food along the sealing line.
Cannot be vacuum-packed| 1. Check if the plastic bag is placed correctly in
the vacuum area.
2. Check whether the bag is folded or uneven.
3. Check whether the plastic bag is broken.
4. Check whether the food in the bag is too much.
5. Check whether the air suction is blocked.
6. Check whether it is a special plastic bag.
7. Check the top or bottom of the foam gasket is intact.
8. Check the vacuum valve is in the state of the press.
9. Check the two vacuum packaging running time interval of 80 s
---|---
After vacuum packaging, plastic
bags gradually leak| 1. For sharp objects, please use some common plastic
wrap before vacuum packaging.
2. If the plastic bag is too thin, the air may penetrate the bag. So please
use a bag with embossing and 0.2-0.29mm thickness.
3. The plastic bag containing food (itself exuding gas), might seem like a
vacuum disappears.
