Following these basic care and maintenance guidelines will ensure our furniture will be enjoyed for many years to come.

Acrylic

Use a commercial plastic cleaner or mild soap and water to remove dirt and debris. When applying cleaner, use a non-abrasive lint-free or microfiber cloth that won’t scratch the surface. For tough grease, oil, or tar residue, use commercial grade hexane or kerosene.

Aluminum

Aluminum patio furniture has remained the top choice for consumers for nearly a century. Durable, heavy-duty and attractive, aluminum outdoor furniture requires minimal care to keep your pieces looking like new, and the wide array of available styles match any outdoor space.

If you notice a slight discoloration on aluminum furniture, clean with mild soap and warm water

If aluminum has become rough to the touch, smooth the surface with steel wool and soap, but make sure to remove all traces of steel wool after cleaning.

Drain any water that has accumulated inside the frame by removing foot caps from the bottom of the legs. Remember not to use harsh commercial cleaners on anodized aluminum.

Glass

If your glass furniture is really dirty, start by lightly dust it with a clean microfiber cloth to remove any larger pieces of dust. Then spray the entire glass table or glass portion of the furniture with your cleaner. Do not use an excessive amount, as doing so may result in streaky residue left behind on the glass.

Iron

Use a mild mixture of water and dish soap to clean all surfaces. On intricate pieces, dip a small nylon scrubbing brush (a toothbrush will work) in soapy water and use it to scrub crevices and tight curves. Rinse with clear water. On outdoor furniture or railings, you can spray the wrought iron with a garden hose.

Ceramic

Although dirt cannot penetrate into the ceramic material, it is necessary to remove it from the surface in order to prevent the build-up of surface grease and contaminants. Most stains can be removed with water and ordinary, gentle dishwashing detergent and a sponge. For stubborn stains, a dab of concentrated detergent can be effective. Always wipe the table down afterwards with a clean cloth.

Polyester

It can be washed in the washing machine. Machine wash polyester with the signature detergent on the normal cycle with warm or cool water. Wash with like colors fabrics only. Use a chlorine bleach if necessary. Cleaning your polyester product is relatively easy. A simple damp rag can often remove the dirt and debris that tends to collect ion the material.

MDF

To clean wood veneer and MDF cabinets, first remove dust with a dry cloth. After dusting, dissolve some cleaning products such as shampoo in water and wipe cabinet with a sponge to remove all the available spots on the cabinet. Next, clean the cabinet with a damp cloth to remove the detergent from the surface. To prevent scratches on the surface, don’t use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, but get help from special napkins and a soft sponge instead.

Steel Stone

Use coasters under all glasses, particularly those containing alcohol or citrus juices. Do not place hot items directly on the stone surface. Use trivets or mats under hot dishes and placemats under ceramics, silver, or other objects that can scratch the surface. Periodic wiping with clean water, methylated spirits appreciate cleaning products such as stain-proof alkaline cleaner is generally sufficient to keep your natural stone installation looking new.

Metal

In cleaning metal products, you can easily clean various metal surfaces like copper, brass, and silver with common household ingredients. Clean metal surfaces on a regular basis to prevent a buildup of tarnish. Clean your metal objects in your home on a regular basis to retain their beauty.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel, also known as inox, is an alloy that does not readily rust nor wear with excessive cleaning. However, all grades of stainless steel will stain and discolor without proper maintenance and cleaning. Here’s how to clean and maintain stainless steel furniture properly.

Stainless steel can be cleaned using branded stainless steel cleaners available from trade suppliers or from supermarkets, use as directed. Polish/Cleaners such as Sheila Shine are also suitable. Incorrect cleaners can cause staining or corrosion. Acid based products must not be used.

When cleaning use a nylon or other non-scratching scourer. When the direction of the `grain’ is visible, clean in this direction.
