General Safety Information

  • WARNING: NEVER PLACE ANY PART OF THE HESTAN CUE™ ADVANCED COOKING SYSTEM ON, OR IN NON HESTAN CUE ENABLED INDUCTION COOKING RANGES, INDUCTION COOKTOPS, OVENS, BROILER/GRILLERS OR MICROWAVES. This includes the Hestan Cue™ Smart Probe. Extreme
    damage—including fire and explosion—may occur.

  • WARNING: EXPOSING THE PROBE HANDLE TO DIRECT HIGH HEAT MAY DAMAGE THE HANDLE ELECTRONICS AND OTHER COMPONENTS AND/OR CAUSE PRODUCT FAILURE, SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY, AND/OR OTHER PROPERTY DAMAGE. For example, never cook with the handle directly over a nearby cooking zone or directly exposed to the burner in active use, and never use this product in an oven.

  • When using the Hestan Cue™ Smart Cooking System, follow cooking instructions carefully to avoid adverse effects.

  • Unattended Cooking: CAUTION: Never leave cookware unattended while in use.
Never allow your cookware to boil dry, and never leave empty cookware on a hot cooking zone. Unattended, empty cookware on a hot cooking zone can get extremely hot, which can cause personal injury and/or property damage. It may also cause permanent damage to the internal circuitry of the Hestan Cue™ cookware or Hestan Cue™ Smart Probe.

  • Remove and discard all packaging materials and labels before use.

  • Do not use the Hestan Cue™ advanced cooking system for anything other than its intended purpose.

  • The probe does not contain user-serviceable parts. Never attempt to modify, repair, or replace any of its parts.

  • Exclusive Use: The Hestan Cue™ Smart Probe must only be used with a compatible Hestan Cue™ enabled induction cooktops. Never use The Hestan Cue™ Smart Probe with any other model or make of stove, oven, third-party induction cooktop or other type of cooking appliance.

  • Pet Warning: Fumes from everyday cooking—particularly smoke from burning foods —can be harmful to birds and other small pets. Overheating cooking sprays, oils, fats, margarine, and butter will create dangerous fumes that a bird’s respiratory system cannot handle. Scorched plastic handles of utensils can also contaminate the air and endangered birds and other pets. Never allow a pan to overheat, and never cook with birds or small pets in or near the kitchen.

  • Undercooking: Some recipes used by the Hestan Cue™ advanced cooking system do not reach USDA recommended temperatures. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness; especially if you have certain medical conditions. If this is a concern of yours, please adhere to the Safe Minimum Internal Temperature Chart available at usda.gov.
