Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into
operation and keep the instructions, the receipt and, if possible, the box
with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please
also pass on the operating instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose.
- This appliance is not for professional use.
- Do not use the scale outdoors.
- Keep the appliance away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact a qualified technician.
- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
- Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the device.
- When the display shows “Lo” it is indicated that the battery power is very low. Please replace the batteries. Low battery power or defective batteries may cause inaccurate results or other errors.
- Use the appliance only on a hard, flat and dry surface.
- Do not place the scale under wet, hot & cold conditions.
- Clean the appliance with a dampened cloth and a mild detergent.
- Avoid excessive impact or vibration on the appliance.
- If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, remove the batteries before storage to avoid a battery fluid leakage.

USING THE APPLIANCE
INSERTING THE BATTERIES:
- Open the battery compartment lid on the bottom of the scale.
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment with the correct polarity.
SELECTION OF WEIGHT MEASUREMENT UNIT
Select the desired measurement unit in kg or lb., by pressing the “UNIT”
button on the bottom side of the scale.
WEIGHING:
- Only place the appliance on a hard, flat, dry surface. Avoid placing it on the carpet or on soft surfaces.
- Switch on the scales by pressing lightly with your foot or toes on the surface and wait a few moments.
- “0.0” will appear on LED. Step with both feet onto the scale. The display will flash for a few moments, then stabilizes and displays the weight.
AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF:
The device will turn off automatically if no operation is detected for about
10 seconds.
NOTE : In case the weight lies above the allowed maximum weight the
signal of error “Err” will appear on the LED display.
CLEANING
- CAUTION : Do not immerse the scale in water: the electronic components can be damaged.
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
- Clean the appliance with a slightly moist cloth. Make sure that no humidity or waters seeps into the device!
- Use a commercially sold detergent or soap for cleaning.
- Dry the device well after cleaning with a dry and soft cloth.
STORAGE
- Always store the appliance away from children.
- Always store the appliance in a safe and clean place. For the best protection of the device, store it in its original packaging.
