KEYFENDER Waterproof Housing for Car Keys

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR KEYFENDER

Congratulations on the purchase of your KEYFENDER. We have put great effort into developing a product that will protect your key from water, sand, dust and shocks. Aside from its special design, it is the quality materials and the way of manufacturing that make the KEYFENDER a quality product and allowed it to pass all product tests. Always use your KEYFENDER properly so you can enjoy it for years. Please read the following instructions on the prop-er use of your KEYFENDER: In order for your KEYFENDER to be sealed watertight, it must be closed in accordance with this manual:

• You close the upper and lower shell with even pressure. The lid must engage with a clearly audible “clack” all around and completely in the lower shell.
• Please keep the sealed area free of sand, dirt or other obstructions.

BUBBLE TEST BEFORE INITIAL USE
Test your KEYFENDER before first use in a bucket or sink without inserting a key. Hold the KEYFENDER under water and also press a little on the window in the lid. No bubbles should appear.

GENERAL NOTES ON USE
Even the best material will eventually give way.

• Protect the window and gasket of the KEYFENDER from mechanical stress and sharp objects. Check the entire housing for damage after each use.
• Make sure that your KEYFENDER does not become a danger to you or others.
• Wear it well secured during activity.
• Use for the specified purpose only and within the specified parameters.
• Do not let the case get too hot (eg on the dashboard in the vehicle)
• Always keep the sealing surface and seal clean and protected from damage.
• The Keyfender should be stored closed when not in use.
• Not a toy for children

USE

• To open, push the two opening levers apart in the opposite direction. Holding the case with one hand and making a rotary motion with your thumb and forefinger, push the top of the case upwards.

• To close, place the housing shells straight on top of each other and squeeze the housing together with both hands until you hear a distinct “clack”. The closure gap must be circumferentially the same size.

• Choose a rather thin or no foam insert so that the housing can be easily closed. The key is allowed
  to slide back and forth a little when the housing is shaken.

• You can fasten your key with the loop in the case.

• The lanyard is threaded with the small loop through the two eyelets (upper and lower shell) below the opening lever and tightened.

• Make sure that you wear the KEYFENDER under your clothes during activities to avoid any injuries.

• You can also use the strap to attach the KEYFENDER to your gear. Make sure that the elastic rubber window points to the object to which you are fixing it.

CARE

• Seals and sealing surfaces must always be kept clean.
• Dust, sand, hair or similar substances on the sealing surfaces reduce the sealing properties of the KEYFENDER and can damage the key inside!
• The lanyard should be rinsed from time to time using lukewarm water. Salt can damage the structure of the material.
• The housing itself requires no special care.

WARRANTY

As water sports enthusiasts, we know what is important when it comes to extreme use. Quality and reliability are extremely important. Because we stand behind our product, we offer you a two year material and manufac-turer‘s warranty on the case. This does not affect the material or the tightness of the housing and is excluded from the guarantee.

• We assume no liability for personal injury or damage to property.
• The warranty only applies to the housing.
