Mount the AP
Mounting on a Wall
-
At the installation location on the wall, use the mounting bracket to mark four holes for the wall plugs and screws (included in the screw kit).
Drill four holes for the wall plugs, and then insert the plugs and top them flush with the wall surface.
Note: Drill 2.5 mm (±0.2 mm) holes for M3 self-tapping screws, or 4.5 mm (±0.2 mm) holes for nylon wall plugs.
Use the four screws to secure the bracket to the wall. -
With its ports facing dovm, place the AP over the bracket flanges and then slide it down until it snaps into its secured position.
Mounting on a Suspended Ceiling T-Bar
- Slide the bracket accessory onto the base of the AP until it dicks into its locked position.
- Use the included security screw to secure the bracket to the AP.
- Position the ceiling-mount dip holders on either side of the T-boor, and then turn the AP until the two dips lock it to the T-bar.
Note: The AP mounting supports two different sizes of suspended ceiling T-bores. The position illustrated above is for 24.5 mm boors. Use the position at a 90 degrees angle for 15 mm bars.
Mounting On a Ceiling Without T-Bars
- At the installation location on the ceiling, use the mounting bracket to mark four holes for the plugs and screws (included in the screw kit). Drill four holes for the plugs, and then insert the plugs and tap them flush with the ceiling surface. Use the four screws to secure the bracket to the ceiling (screw torque must be less than 6 kgf.cm).
- Place the AP over the bracket flanges and then slide it onto the bracket until it snaps into its secured position.
Connect Cables
Connect LAN Cables
- Connect Category 5e or better cable to the Uplink(PoE) 2.5G RJ-45 pod. When connected to a PoE source, the Uplink(PoE) port connection provides power to the unit.
- (Optional) Conned o local LAN switch or computer to the LAN1 or LAN2 1000BASE-T RJ-45 pods.
(Optional) Connect Power Adapter
- When not connected to o PoE source, conned the AC power adopter to the DC power lock on the AP and then plug the adopter into a nearby AC power source.
Check AP LEDs
- 2.4G and 5G LEDs — on green for radio enabled.
- Power/Status LED — on green for normal operation.
