INTRODUCTION

We congratulate you on choosing UNiKA PD Series power conditioner. This series is designed for easy use and incorporate the latest advances in power technology, along with useful and innovative features. Please read all instructions carefully before operating.

CONTROL PANEL

FRONT PANEL

  1. Rack Mounting Ears – Two front panel mounting holes are provided on each mounting ear.

  2. Rear light ON/OFF switch for gooseneck lamp – This switch controls to turn ON or turn OFF the rear light.

  3. Front light On/OFF switch for 2 pull-out LED light pipes – This switch controls to turn ON or turn OFF the front 2 pull-out LED light pipes.

  4. Hour and Minute buttons for time set up – These buttons enable to set-up hour and minute which are shown in the LCD screen.

  5. Two front panel pull-out LED light pipes – These retractable LED light pipes helps users to operate in a dark environment easily and more convenient.

  6. LCD digital voltmeter/ammeters/system clock – This LCD indicates voltage, time and current for users easily to control them properly.

  7. Front panel resettable circuit breaker – This reset button is used to reset the breaker.

  8. Unswitched front panel convenience outlet – This outlet keeps power that is always ON.

  9. AC power illuminated switch – The switch is used to turn ON or turn OFF the 8 rear panel outlets.

  11. AC Power Cord – Plug this cable into a standard 110V or 220V wall outlet. Be sure that the supplied voltage in your area matches the unit’s required voltage. Never plug your power conditioner into a wall outlet that does not match its required voltage which helps to avoid serious damage may occurred on the unit.

  12. XLR lamp connector – This is used to connect the detachable gooseneck lamp. (The gooseneck lamp is an optional accessory up to customer’s demand, the standard product doesn’t include this lamp.)

  13. Power Output (CH1~CH8) – For CH6~CH8, 3 outlets with wall wart spacing.

OPERATION

MAXIMUM LOAD

The eight circuit breaker protected outlets are rated at 15 amps total, which is equivalent to 1800 watts at 120 volts. If the total load exceeds 15 amps, the circuit breaker will trip, cutting off power to your rack. If this happens, reduce the load by unplugging one or more units from the unit, then push the circuit breaker button in to reset it.

LAMPS

The PD series power conditioner with easily pull-out LED light pipes (PD-3 only) and may be aimed to provide the best illumination for your equipment. You should set the front rack lights switch to the OFF position if not using the lights for an extended period of time.

AC POWER SWITCH

The PD series power conditioners have a master AC POWER switch for the rear outlets. This switch glows when the unit is on.

WARNINGS

  1. All operating instructions should be read before using this equipment.
  2. To prevent the risk of electrical shock, do not remove the cover or the back. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
  3. Do not expose this unit to rain or moisture or to heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other items that generate excessive heat.
  4. This unit should be cleaned only with a damp cloth. Do not get moisture inside the unit.
  5. When moving this equipment, it should be placed in its original carton and packing, to reduce the risk of damage in transit.
