What is Arduino®
Arduino® is an open-source prototyping platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino® boards are able to read inputs – light-on sensor, a finger on a button or a Twitter message – and turn it into an output – activating of a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board. To do so, you use the Arduino programming language (based on Wiring) and the Arduino® software IDE (based on Processing). Additional shields/modules/components are required for reading a twitter message or publishing online. Surf to www.arduino.cc for more information
Product overview
This module allows any digital circuit or microcontroller with 5 V DC outputs
to easily switch high current DC loads. It can be used to drive loads such as
high power LEDs, heaters, motors, solenoids, etc… (it is recommended to add
freewheeling diodes when switching inductive loads like motors and solenoids).
The module uses 3 high current IRF540NS MOSFETs to safely and efficiently
switch these loads on and off.
Note that the MOSFETs input pins (gates) need at least 5 V DC to properly
switch on. Level shifting will be required when using 3.3 V signals.
Specifications:
- Input voltage range: Max. 80 V
- Max. switching current : 10 A per channel
- MOSFET type: IRF540NS
- Input signal voltage range: 5 – 15 V DC
- Weight: 25 g
- Dimensions (W x L x H): 68 x 40 x 15 mm
