SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental…).
- Check that the voltage of your electricity supply matches the voltage of your appliance. Any error when connecting the appliance can cause irreparable harm, not covered by the guarantee.
- The installation of the appliance and its use must however comply with the standards in force in your country.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The appliance must be unplugged, before cleaning and maintenance procedures, if it is not working correctly, as soon as you have finished using it. Stop using your appliance and contact an Authorised Service Centre if: – your appliance has fallen. – it does not work correctly.
- Do not unplug by pulling on the cord, rather pull out by the plug.
- Do not use an electrical extension lead.
- Do not clean with abrasive or corrosive products.
- Do not use at temperatures below 0°C and above 35°C.
- The appliance must only be used with the power pack supplied model 0094200020 – Input: 100-240V – 50/60 Hz – max. 2W ; Output : 2.3V – 90 mA.
WARNING: The parts held in the hand must be unplugged before being cleaned with water. The water must not be hotter than 70°C. Suitable for use in the bathtub or under the shower. GUARANTEE: Your appliance is designed for use in the home only. It should not be used for professional purposes. The guarantee becomes null and void in the case of improper usage.
USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before use, make sure your appliance is charged.
This appliance does not work in AC mode.
Using in standalone mode (wireless):
The device works with 1 battery.
To maximize the lifespan of the batteries:

Before using it for the first time, charge the device up using the adapter for 14 hours. The first few times you use it, it is preferable to fully discharge your battery before recharging to ensure maximum autonomy.

A full charge takes 12 hours.

After turning the transformer off, the device has about 45 minutes of autonomy.
Warning, to avoid deterioration of the batteries: -
Never exceed more than 20h of charge.

Do not charge the batteries too prematurely: only recharge them when the power of the appliance has decreased significantly or if it has not been used for more than 6 months.
CUTTING GUIDE
1 multi-length cutting guide:
- Special “beard and mustache” guide (A): 7 positions, from 1.5mm to 14mm
Assembly of the cutting guide:
- To place the “special beard” cutting guide (A), clip it onto the body of the appliance. Then choose your cutting position by pressing the button on the back of the guide.
The cutting height is displayed in the window at the back of the guide, according to the following principle:

To change position: push the guide’s desired number of notches by pressing the button on the back. The cutting height is displayed in the window at the back of the guide.
TIPS FOR USE
This trimmer can be safely used under the shower.
To trim the beard and mustache:
- Place the “beard” cutting guide (A) on the blade and slide it to the desired position.
- If you are using the clipper for the first time, begin with the highest height to get used to the device.
- Turn the clipper on.
- Move the clipper slowly in the opposite direction to the hair growth.
- Repeat as many times as necessary.
LUBRICATION OF THE BLADE
To ensure your clipper always remains effective, it is essential that the cutting blades be lubricated before each use with the lubricant supplied or, failing this, with a sewing machine oil.
- Before lubrication, unplug the appliance and remove any hairs that are stuck between the cutting blades of the clippers using the small brush.
- Lubricate the blades where indicated: one drop per location is enough.
- Operate the clipper for a few seconds.
- Clean the excess oil with a rag.
MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, AND STORAGE
The clipper requires very little maintenance. You can clean it with a damp
cloth.
Cleaning the cutting head:

Place the on/off switch on stop.

Remove the cutting guide and/or any other accessory.

Remove the hair using the brush.
Washing the clipper and the head: -
Place the on/off switch on stop.

Then place the clipper and/or the head used under cold running water for a few seconds.

Shake the clipper and/or head used vigorously, then leave to dry before being used again.
Storage: Store the device and accessory on their base.

Recycling the batteries
Before removing the NiMH batteries, discharge them completely. Open the
battery compartment using a tool cut all the connections, and then recycle the
batteries in a safe manner.
