TECSCAN TDLX 315 MHz Remote Control Brake Instruction Manual

CONNECT TO: 1-12V, 2-6V, 2-8V OR VOLTSEASY REDUCER

  1. Select two batteries near the controller that are LINKED together.

  2. Attach the wires labeled 12v-16v from the controller to the 36” battery connection wires. RED to RED – BLACK to BLACK

  3. Connect battery ring wires to RED/POS and BLACK/NEG battery posts, as per diagram. Do not connect to L I N K posts.
    VOLTAGE METER 5-100 VOLTS DC Included as an installation aide. Quick touch for ON and TOGGLE between VOLTAGE and STATE-OF-CHARGE%. OFF long touch, Extension included for dash mounting, if desired.

  4. The voltage meter must read between 10v and 20v depending on the voltage of batteries.
    It is now safe to connect the lights.

INSTALL STEERING WHEEL REMOTE CONTROL

  1. Insert rubber grip strips in opened clamps
  2. Slide clamps over steering wheel
  3. Loosely attach remote to clamps
  4. Center remote at top of wheel
  5. Tighten clamps
  6. Note: The remote brackets may require longer screws and grip strips may not be necessary.
REMOTE CONTROL BUTTON OPERATION
  • Arrows left and right turn signals. Turn signals cancel automatically after 10 seconds.
    Lights on the remote do not blink with the turn lights.

  • Pressing Arrow buttons together activate hazard lights. Pressing either Arrow button cancels hazard lights.

  • AUX center controls radio, extra lights, etc.

  • Light symbol activates headlights and taillights together.

  • Horn activates horn, uses high current—use sparingly.

ASSEMBLE BRAKE SENSOR

  • Insert battery into plastic holder. Then slide holder with battery into battery clamp as pictured, + plus sign up
  • Test by tilting PCB to right, see red light
  • Insert into the case exact position as shown
  • Snap switch case cover together logo up— presses hard

Install BRAKeasy REMOTE brake light switch

  • Patented action, auto cancelling after 10 sec
Remote Brake Switch Installation:
  • Attach to Left side of brake pedal. Logo must be facing left, right side up.
  • Attach as high as possible on the LEFT side of the lower section of a divided brake pedal.
  • Carefully mark and drill 1/16” starter holes.
  • Or after thoroughly cleaning surface, very lightly attach switch with double faced tape. Switch may have to be adjusted. Once sure of location press switch firmly in place. Do not over-tighten screws.

Gas Carts – Do not connect to the gas cart electrical system or ground anything to the cart’s frame. The Controller draws a constant 1 MLA. With a good alternator, battery and regular use, battery charge should not be an issue. Questions: 1-352-264-7877

LIGHT INSTALLATION

  • Relax , take your time
  • Use the light bracket to mark the location of the 1/4″ screw holes.
  • Measure twice, twice before drilling holes
  • Before drilling holes, check behind to avoid damaging hidden parts.
  • Do not over-tighten nuts & screws.
  • Headlight LEDs look yellow— taillight LEDs look white—Tilt lights slightly downward
  • Run the wires to the lights through or above not below the cart frame.
  • Use wire ties to keep the wires snug, up and away from moving parts under the cart.
  • Hiding exposed wires with Velcro is an effective technique.
  • Mount reflectors on clean surface both sides, front amber and rear red, as shown.
  • Purchaser may be required to supply additional hardware.

Warranty Does NOT Cover

  • Connecting controller other than directly to battery posts
  • Using other than TecScan VOLTSeasy brand reducer
  • Attempting installation while connected to battery charger
  • Connecting Controller to junction boxes or key switch wires
  • Connecting accessories to the same battery posts as controller
  • Charging FULLY DISCHARGED cart batteries while controller is connected
  • Spraying, submersing, altering or tampering with remotes or controller
