Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does this controller rumble?
    Yes

  • How long is the cord?
    About 3 meters.

  • Will this work on an American switch?
The one that we received did work with an American switch.

  • Does it have a lot of input delay?
It has the same input delay as any other controller. Maybe it’s just because I also game on a 240hz PC setup, but the Switch itself has input lag that’s at the very least noticeable. This controller doesn’t add anything to it, and regardless of your setup make sure to use the back USB port for your controller (it’s USB-3, the other 2 are USB-2 I believe)

  • Is there a website or some way to track the package?
You track it through Amazon like you would any other package.

  • Anyone using this with Grid Autosport, with functioning analog shoulder buttons? If so, wireless adapter or wired adapter?
    Wired

  • Is it made in Japan?
Yes..the quality is still as good as the ones made in the US. They are essentially the same.

  • Does it work with an American Gamecube?
Yes, it will. IDK if there is such a thing as a region-locked controller lol

  • What type of music do you like?
Big fan of the new FFVII remixes for the Northern Cave stage. Persona music is always strong. Zelda always has good tunes, too.

  • Will this work on a Wii U?
Yes, it works on Wii U. Ever since the GameCube came out, the GameCube controller has been compatible with the latest Nintendo console.

  • Will it always be a Japanese import?
Although it depends on the seller, our shop is made in Japan.

  • Will this work on pc with an adapter?
Yes, it will work with an adapter on a switch or PC. You should have no problems with it.

  • Does it come with an adapter?
    No. It’s only the controller

  • Is this controller compatible with Mario 3d Allstars? I wanna play sunshine with this.
Yes! They recently updated Sunshine to use GC controllers.

  • Is this an official Nintendo brand controller?
Yes it is. Has the official Nintendo logo branding on the box, and the controller itself is very high quality. This is not some cheap knock-off.

  • Why is it cheaper? A few months ago it was like 100 dollars
Prices fluctuate with market value. It’s under $100 now.

  • Why is this controller cheaper than the American?
I’m not really sure I do know that the GameCube controllers in America are all 3rd party and not made by Nintendo (except the old ones) so that might be why. The only way to get a new Gamecube controller made by Nintendo is through Nintendo themselves or amazon and buy it from an Asian market.

  • Is this usb-c?
No, it is not. It only connects to a game cube or connects to a switch with an adapter

  • Which of the many sellers is trustworthy, and which ones are selling junk?
Whichever one I went through gave me the right product twice.

  • Can this controller work with the original Wii?
    Yes, it will!

  • My controller doesn’t seem to rumble. Is it a faulty unit or a function that I have to enable?
I would check the system you’re using it on and make sure you have the feature enabled. If that’s good and still no rumble then the product may be defective.

  • Why are the prices doubling and why won’t Nintendo make more so that the price is stabilized again?
I think it’s so popular that Nintendo’s production has not caught up.

  • Is there any difference between the japan version and from the USA?
The only difference is kanji on the packaging. The controller itself is identical.

  • Are the controllers still in the original box?
The one we got was in a new box from Japan because it is a new product.

  • What’s the difference between this version and the original version of the GC Controller?
A longer cord, it features everything else the same, including Analog triggers. While being available brand new for a fair price.
