Always use fuel that fulfils the following specifications: unleaded petrol, octane content at least 85 Never smoke near the machine or the fuel. Never add fuel in the vicinity of sparks, flames or open fire.

  • Remove the lid (5) from the filler opening.
  • Pour the fuel carefully in the filler opening. Never fill the tank further than to the top of the fuel filter.
  •  Place the lid back on the filler opening.

Starting the motor

  • Be sure that no load is connected.
  • Turn the fuel cock (10) to the position “ON”.
  • Fully pull out the choke (11).
  • Put the on/off switch (1) in the position “ON”.
  • Pull gently on the start cord (12) until you feel resistance.
  •  Pull the start cord forcefully. Repeat this until the motor is starting.
  • Slowly push the choke again.

Instructions for use

  • Start the motor as described above.
  • To connect an electrical machine

Load protection device
In case of overload or short circuit, the overload protection device interrupts the circuit. Wait at least 1 minute before operating the reset switch (4).

  • Be sure that no load is connected.
  • Put the on/off switch (1) in the position “OFF”.
  • Turn the fuel cock (10) to the position “OFF”.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

For good functioning and a long lifespan for the machine, regular cleaning and maintenance is essential.

  • Do not perform any cleaning or maintaining activities while the motor is running.
  • Do not smoke during the below work.

Changing the oil

The oil must be changed after the first 20 operating hours, and then after every 100 hours or 6 months.

  • Place a receiving bin under the bleeding point.
  •  Remove the dipstick (9) from the filling-point.
  • Remove the screw from the bleeding point (8).
  • Tilt the machine slightly forwards to remove all oil.
  • Re-insert the screw and tighten it securely.
  • Fill the crankcase with the prescribed amount of oil.
  • Replace the dipstick.

Checking the oil level

  • Remove the dipstick (9) from the filling-point.
  • Clean the dipstick.
  • Insert the dipstick into the filling hole for a few seconds before pulling it out again.
  • Check the oil-level. The oil level should be at a rate between high and low.
  •  If the level is below this mark, refill the oil.
    • Use a funnel to avoid spilling.
    • For easy filling, tilt the machine slightly backwards.
  •  Mount the dipstick.

Cleaning the air filter

Clean the air filter every 50 operating hours

  • Loosen the two clamping brackets (14).
  • Remove the lid (13).
  • Remove the air filter (15) from the filter holder (16).
  • Clean the filter with spirits or ethanol.
  • Pinch the filter out. Do not twist!
