1. SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNINGS (FIG. 1)
IMPORTANT: READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS OPERATING MANUAL PRIOR TO ASSEMBLING,
STARTING UP OR CONDUCTING MAINTENANCE ON THIS FAN. INCORRECT USE OF
THE FAN CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. KEEP THIS MANUAL FOR FURTHER REFERENCE.
►1.1. IMPORTANT: THIS FAN IS NOT SUITABLE FOR USE BY PERSONS (INCLUDING
CHILDREN) WITH REDUCED PHYSICAL, SENSORY OR MENTAL CAPACITIES OR WHO LACK
EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE, UNLESS SUPERVISED BY A PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR
SAFETY. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED TO MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT PLAY WITH
THE FAN.
►1.2. IMPORTANT: ALL CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS THAT INVOLVE ACCESS TO
DANGEROUS PARTS (SUCH AS REPLACEMENT OF A DAMAGED POWER CABLE) MUST BE
PERFORMED BY THE MANUFACTURER, BY ITS TECHNICAL SUPPORT CENTRE, OR BY A PERSON
WITH A SIMILAR QUALIFICATION, IN A WAY TO PREVENT
ALL RISKS, EVEN IF THE FAN IS TO BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS.
►1.3. IMPORTANT: COMPLY WITH ALL LOCAL LEGISLATION AND CURRENT REGULATIONS
WHEN USING THE FAN.
►1.4. IMPORTANT: THE MANUFACTURER DECLINES ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE/ INJURIES
TO PROPERTY/PERSONS DERIVING FROM IMPROPER USE OF THE
FAN.
►1.5. This fan is only suitable for moving the air.
►1.6. Use or store the fan in completely dry rooms that do not contain water
or other liquids.
►1.7. Never touch the fan with wet or damp hands.
►1.8. Use or store the fan away from heat sources.
►1.9. Never use or store the fan in rooms containing petrol, paint solvents or
other highly flammable or explosive vapours.
►1.10. Never put your hands or objects of any kind through the fan’s grille.
►1.11. Keep animals at a safe distance from the fan.
►1.12. Maintain a minimum safety distance of at least 1 metre between the fan
and other materials (do not even partially obstruct the air inlet or air
outlet).
►1.13. Use or store the fan on a stable and level surface.
►1.14. Before switching the fan on, make sure the air flows in the right
direction.
►1.15. Make sure the fan is only connected to suitable mains fitted with a
differential circuit breaker and suitable earthing.
►1.16. Only power the fan with the current voltage and frequency values
specified on the rating plate.
►1.17. Only use suitably earthed 3-wire extension leads.
►1.18. Never move, handle or conduct maintenance on the fan when it is
connected to the mains or in operation.
►1.19. Never cover the fan with any kind of material when it is connected to
the mains or in operation.
►1.20. Disconnect the fan from the mains when not in use.
►1.21. Make sure the fan cannot be used if\ it is temporarily left in unsafe
conditions.
►1.22. If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a
technical support centre to prevent any risk.
►1.23. Ask the technical support centre to check that the fan is working
properly at least once a year and/or as required.
►1.24. Do not connect speed controllers to the fan to prevent it from being
seriously damaged.
►1.25. For proper operation, always only use original accessories.
2. UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY
WARNING: THE PACKAGING MATERIAL IS NOT A TOY. KEEP THE PLASTIC BAG OUT OF
REACH OF CHILDREN; DANGER OF SUFFOCATION.
►2.1. Remove all packaging material used to wrap and ship the fan and dispose
of it in compliance with the standards in force.
►2.2. Remove all items from the packaging.
►2.3. Check for any damage incurred during transport. If the fan looks
damaged, immediately inform the dealer from where it was purchased.
IMPORTANT: Assemble the fan completely before commissioning (FIG. 2).
3. OPERATION
IMPORTANT: READ, UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW THE “SAFETY INFORMATION” BEFORE
STARTING THE FAN IN ORDER TO USE IT CORRECTLY AND AVOID RISKS.
►3.1. SWITCHING THE FAN ON:
►3.1.1. Plug the fan into the mains (make sure the power cable is intact and
the mains features match those on the fan’s rating plate).
►3.1.2. Adjust the height and inclination of the fan head (FIG. 3-4).
►3.1.3. Turn the “ON/OFF” switch to “ON” (FIG. 5) [I: Minimum Power] – [II:
Maximum Power].
NOTES: Lifting or lowering the lever on the fan head, activates or deactivates
the automatic rotation (FIG. 6).
►►3.2. SWITCHING THE FAN OFF:
►3.2.1. Turn the “ON/OFF” switch to “OFF” (0) (FIG. 5).
►3.2.2. Unplug the fan from the mains.
NOTE: DO NOT UNPLUG THE FAN FROM THE MAINS TO SWITCH IT OFF.
4. STORAGE
Always unplug the fan from the mains when not in use and before storing it. Put the fan in a dry place protected from dust. When the fan is used again, check the condition of the power cable. If in doubt regarding its state, contact the technical support centre. In any case, ask the technical support centre to check that the fan is working properly at least once a year and/or as required.
5. MAINTENANCE
EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR OF THE FAN MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY THE
TECHNICAL SUPPORT CENTRE.
Before performing any maintenance or repair, disconnect the power cable from
the mains. An accumulation of dust and dirt inside the fan’s grille can cause
a decrease in performance; it is important to always keep the appliance in
excellent condition to ensure safe and proper operation. Cleaning the fan’s
grille and external structure are the only maintenance activities allowed.
Only use high pressure air and a soft cloth to clean. The fan must never be
cleaned using water or solvents of any kind.
