Keyboard Shortcuts
Left Hand
Key Grouping: WASD The WASD key combination is a very well known combination used in gaming. In games the keys represent axis of movement correlating to the arrow keys. We capitalize on this existing familiarity to reproduce the arrow key functionality we currently have. This allows the left hand to control sensitivity and move forward and backward with ease and allows the right hand to be placed in another location on the keyboard or use the mouse. In addition the E key for event panel and F key for focus review mode are adjacent and easy to reach.
Right Hand
Key Grouping Purpose: Playback speed adjustors, play control These keys are a
group and are meant to allow a user to rest their right hand upon them for
adjusting playback speed.
Key Functions
These combined with spacebar for play/pause allow for dynamic speed control. The N is near as well for keyboard initiated note creation
