LiFE CM-101 Coffee Maker
PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage
to the machine:

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Make sure that the outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the coffee maker.
- Make sure the power cord is easily accessible at all times.
- To protect against fire, electric shock and injuries do not immerse cord or plug, into water or other liquid.
- Remove the plug from the socket when not in use and before cleaning. Let the appliance cool down completely before attaching or taking off the components, or before cleaning.
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If its main cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Do not hang power cord over the edge of table or counter.
- Do not place the coffee maker on or beside hot surfaces, gas and fire sources.
- The appliance must be used only for domestic and intended use.
- Do not clean the carafe with steel wool pads or other abrasive materials.
- To turn the appliance off, push the button and remove the plug from the socket by holding the plug. Never pull by the cord.
- Scalding may occur if the cover gets removed during the brewing cycles. Be careful not to get burned by the steam.
- Some parts of appliance get hot during operation. Do not touch them with bare hands.
- Never leave the carafe empty on the heating plate in order to prevent its cracking.
- Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks.
- Do not let the coffee maker operate without water.
- Do not use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
- The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 years old and supervised.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children.
KNOW YOUR COFFEE MAKER BEFORE FIRST USE
Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Add
water into water tank until the max level. Brew water for several times
without coffee powder and then discard the water.

USING YOUR COFFEE MAKER

Open the top lid and fill the water tank with fresh, clean water. The water level should not exceed MAX level marked inside the tank.

Place the funnel and the filter correctly.

Add coffee powder into the filter. Usually a cup of coffee needs a spoon of coffee powder, but you can adjust it according to your personal tastes. Close the top lid.

Place the carafe on the heating plate.

Plug the power cord into the outlet.

Push the power button and the indicator light will light on. Coffee makers will start operating. When the water tank empties, the appliance will keep operating for 40 minutes. Then the coffee maker will turn off automatically.

The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the power button at any time. The appliance will continue brewing once the power button is pressed again.
i Note: You can take out carafe, pour and serve at any time. The appliance will stop dripping automatically thanks to anti-drip function. To avoid flooding risk at the funnel during the brewing process, please do not leave the carafe out of the coffee maker for more than 30 seconds. -
Remove the carafe to serve when finish brewing (about one minute later after the coffee stops dripping out).
Note: The coffee you will get will be less than the water you added, as
some water is absorbed by coffee powder.
Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug from the power supply when not in
use.
Note: Pay attention when pouring the coffee, otherwise you may get burnt as the temperature of coffee is high.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Make sure you have unplugged the appliance before cleaning. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit into water or other liquids. After each use, always make sure that the plug is removed from the wall outlet.
- Clean all detachable parts after each use with hot water and detergent.
- Wipe the housing of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
- Water droplets may buildup in the area above the funnel and drip onto the appliance’s base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the coffee maker.
- Use a damp cloth to wipe the heating plate. Never use any abrasive cleaner to clean it.
- Replace all parts and keep for next use.
REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSIT
To ensure the efficient operation of the coffee maker, you should clean the
mineral deposits left by the water regularly according to the water quality in
your area and the frequency of use. Please follow the below steps:
- Fill the water tank with water and the coffee maker’s descale until the MAX level. Details are referred on the descale’s instruction. You can also use citric acid instead of descale (100:3).
- Place the carafe on the heating plate.
- Press the power button once and the indicator will light on. After a while, water will drop out automatically.
- After percolating the equivalent of one cup switch off the appliance by pushing the power button again.
- Let the appliance off for 15 minutes and repeat steps 3-5 again.
- Turn the appliance on by pushing the button once and let the water run until the water tank is completely empty.
- Rinse by operating the appliance with fresh, clean water at least 3 times.
HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE
- A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee. Clean the coffee maker regularly as mentioned in the “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” section. Always use fresh, cold water in the coffee maker.
- Store the coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
