Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions, the receipt, and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

USER MANUAL SYMBOLS

Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the machine:

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance rating label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.

  2.  The total power consumption of this device can be up to 1500W. We recommend the use of an outlet with a rated current of 10A. Do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit, to avoid any circuit overloads.

  3.  The appliance is designed exclusively for private, domestic use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not suitable for commercial use.

  4.  Do not use the appliance outdoors.

  5.  Always plug the appliance into an outlet that is earthed. Risk of electric shock!

  6.  The appliance is not intended to operate with an external timer or a separate remote-control system.

  7.  Do not fill the kettle while on its base. Dry any water residue on the bottom of the housing before connecting the appliance to the power supply.

  8.  Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always unplug the appliance.

  9.   CAUTION: The appliance is not intended for use by children, disabled people or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities. Supervision is necessary when you use the appliance by or near children.

  10.  Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children.

  11.  Do not let children play with the appliance.

  12.  In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
    WARNING: Do not allow children to play with the foil. The danger of suffocation!

  13.  Children are not allowed to use the appliance.

  14.  Unplug when not in use and before cleaning.

  15.  Periodically check the cable for damage.

  16.  Do not let the power cord hanging off the edge of a table or bench, or come into contact with hot surfaces.

  17.  If the surface is cracked, disconnect the appliance from the power supply to avoid electric shock.

  18. . The appliance must be operated on a flat surface. Do not place it on or near an electric burner or a heated oven or a hot gas stove.

  19.  Keep a distance of at least 20 cm from the outside of the appliance during use. Never use the kettle near curtains, or flammable materials and do not place it in cabinets.

  24.  During or after use, steam may be emitted from the spout or lid.

  26.  & WARNING: Do not fill the kettle with water above the MAX point. Otherwise, the water may overflow and cause burns! Risk of burns!

  27.  The water level must always be between the MIN and MAX points.
    CAUTION:

  28.  Fill the kettle only with clean water.

  29.  Do not operate the appliance without any water inside the kettle and do not overfill it.

  30.  To protect against risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or unit in water or any other liquid.

  31.  Unplug the appliance when no water, not in use, while storage and before cleaning. Allow to cool before filling and before cleaning the appliance.

  32.  In the event of an appliance falling into water, disconnect the appliance from the power supply by removing the plug.

  33.  Do not insert any pointy objects or other objects into the slots or holes of the appliance.

  34.  The kettle is intended to be used only with the base provided.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1.  Read all the instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
  2.  Remove the appliance from its packaging. Keep away from children.
  3.  Inspect the appliance after unpacking for any visual damage. In case of any damage, do not use the appliance and contact the shop that you bought it.
  4.  Before using the appliance for the first time, check that the voltage shown on the appliance rating label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.
  5.  Make sure that the appliance only plugs into a properly grounded and properly installed socket.
  6.  Place the appliance on an even surface at a safe distance away from flammable objects. Keep out of the reach of children.
  7.  Fill the kettle with fresh tap water. Make sure the amount of water is between the MIN and MAX readings.
  8.  Let the water boil and empty the kettle.
  9.  Repeat at least 2 times to clean the kettle of any residue. & WARNING: Do not drink this water!

HOW TO USE

  1.  Place the appliance on an even surface at a safe distance away from flammable objects.
  2.  Remove the safety lid.
  3.  Remove the kettle from the base before filling.
  4.  Fill the kettle with fresh tap water. Make sure the amount of water is between the MIN and MAX 5. Close the lid until it locks into place. Place the kettle back on the base unit.
  5.  Plug the appliance to a properly grounded and properly installed socket.
  6.  Switch on the kettle by pressing the On/Off switch. The indicator light will switch on, indicating that boiling has begun.
  7.  The kettle will automatically switch off when the water has been boiled. The indicator light switches off.
  8.  Lift the kettle from the base, and pour out the water.
  9.  You may stop boiling any time, by pressing the illuminated ON/OFF switch.

CLEANING AND CARE

To prolong the product’s life, clean and decalcify the kettle regularly. The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is used.
CAUTION:

  1.  Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning. The unit is easier to clean when slightly warm. There is no need to disassemble the appliance before cleaning.
  2.  Never immerse the appliance into water or place in the dishwasher.
  3.  Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects that can scratch or damage the housing.
  4.  Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents to clean the appliance.
  5.  Wipe the housing of the appliance only with a slightly damp cloth. Do not clean the housing with any abrasive or wire sponge as this will damage the finish.
  6.  Rinse the water container out with clean water. Then dry it off with a cloth.
  7.  Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth and polish with a dry soft cloth.
  8.  Use white vinegar or a commercially available decalcification agent on the basis of citric acid to decalcify the kettle.
  9.  After descaling the kettle, boil fresh water in it several times (approximately 3-4 times) in order to remove any residues. Do not consume that water!

STORAGE

  1.  Always unplug the appliance before storing it.
  2.  Always make sure that the appliance is cold, dry and clean before storing.
  3.  Always store the appliance out of the reach of children. Always store the appliance in a safe and clean place. For the better protection of the appliance, store it in its original packaging.
