HOW TO USE

1. Ensure that the boombox is switched off.
2. Connect one end of the 3.5 mm AUX cable (not provided) to the back of your boombox’s AUX IN jack.
3. Connect the other end of the cord to the audio device’s Line-out jack, such as an iPod or other MP3 player.
4. To switch on the boombox, press (Standby/ON).

HOW TO CONNECT

Navigate to the Bluetooth Settings page. In the list of nearby Bluetooth devices, tap UE Boombox. Turn up the volume on the speaker. The speaker’s status light flashes rapidly, indicating that it is ready to pair with a device.

HOW TO TURN ON CD PLAYER

If a disc has already been loaded, the disc is ejected by pushing the [CD] button. The CD will begin playing right away. To switch to CD mode when a CD is already loaded, press the [DISC] button. To go to disc mode, first push the [DISC] button for less than a second.

  Hold down the Bluetooth button for at least 3 seconds, or until the light flashes blue, to put it in pairing mode. Find the JBL Boombox on your device and connect them. The two devices will sync, and the FLIP will emit a tone to indicate that it was successful.

• Why isn’t my CD player working?
  If a CD player skips, double-check that the CD isn’t scratched or unclean. Check the belt for filth or wear, and the tray for misalignment if a CD player tray won’t open or close properly (remove, clean, lubricate, and reinstall). Check and clean dirty output jacks if the sound from a CD player is distorted.

• What’s the deal with my CD not playing?
  If the disc still won’t play, open the disc compartment and leave your device for an hour to let any moisture condense evaporate. The laser picks up on your device may be dusty if it won’t play any of the discs. IMPORTANT: Lens cleaners for CD or DVD players are not suggested.

• When it comes to cassette tapes, how long do they last?
  Your audio cassette cassettes can last up to 30 years if properly cared for. Many circumstances, however, can drastically reduce that longevity. You’ve most likely done the math by now. Because it’s been nearly 40 years, your cassette cassettes may be in jeopardy!
