Safety warning!!
Pay attention to safety when installing an antenna. In order to prevent
falling, tool falling, electric shock, and other hazards.
- Keep the antenna away from the wires! If your antenna or ladder touches the power cord, you may get electrocuted.
- Pay attention to the following safety precautions when working at height. Pay attention to safety and preventing falling when installing a roof platform
- Make sure your antenna is in a safe place, high enough to not affect the safety of others. Make sure that your antenna is firmly fixed and will not fall and cause harm to others.
- Pay attention to lightning protection! Pay attention to lightning protection and install reliable lightning rods in high-incidence areas.
Introduction
Mla-30 loop antenna is a very popular broadband antenna. It is a receiving
antenna for short wave listeners (SWL) and amateur radio enthusiasts (HAM) to
receive medium waves and short waves in the limited living environment of the
city.
Frequency coverage: 100 kHz to 30 MHz. Excellent directionality can help you
reduce noise, improve the signal-to-noise ratio, and can mine weak signals
submerged by noise when received by the conventional antenna. Mla-30 ring
antenna is easy to set up and can be easily installed on the balcony, roof,
etc. it is a small and low-key installation, and there is no need to worry
about the opposition of neighbors and property.
Another advantage of the mla-30 loop antenna is that it is directional. By
rotating the antenna, the dummy point of the antenna is aligned with the
interference signal, which
can minimize the specific near-field interference.

Preparing
The antenna is fully assembled and can be installed directly. Please select
the installation location away from any other transmitting antenna. The energy
of the transmitting antenna will damage the internal signal amplifier of the
antenna.
The antenna can be used indoors if necessary. Rotate and adjust the antenna by
hand. However, there are often more noise sources in the indoor location and
the indoor radio
signal strength will become worse due to the shielding of reinforced concrete,
which may lead to signal deterioration.
If you decide to use an antenna indoors, keep that in mind.
Assembling
It is necessary to prepare a PVC sheath for support, of any diameter and 65cm
length. It needs to be of a certain strength, and it should be strong enough
to support the mla-30 ring antenna.
You can also use the existing plastic pole, or wooden pole, and pay attention
not to use a metal pole.
Fix the mla-30 ring antenna to the support rod with two screws, arrange the
stainless steel vibrator into a circle, and then fix it on the terminal of the
screw, and fix the top end to the top of the support rod with a tie.
Then fix the support rod to the roof or balcony outside the security net. Try
to fix it in an open place far away from the interference source. It should be
fixed firmly to prevent falling.
Packing List:
Antenna amplifier with 10 m feeder
x1 Stainless steel vibrator x1
Bias power supply x1
USB cable 0.8m x1
60cm SMA jumper x1
Stainless steel fixing screw x2

The installation method of antenna indoor or outdoor is basically the
same.
The direction of the antenna is important, so turning it by hand or with a
spinner will improve the efficiency of receiving remote stations.
The two dummy points on the antenna can point in a specific direction. This
means that the noise source is placed in the direction of the dummy point.
There is no need to know the direction of the antenna. Just rotate the antenna
until you hear the noise disappear or decrease significantly.
You may encounter some signals that cannot be attenuated much because the
signals they send may be reflecting from multiple directions to your receiving
location.
Note: Never connect the mla-30 loop antenna to the transmitter as it will
cause permanent damage to the preamplifier. This antenna is for receiving
only.
