How long does it take a PlugFone to charge

Up to 8 hours, according to PlugFones. It seemed more reasonable to me to anticipate 6+ hours. I just charge it at night and then again at lunch to keep it running throughout the day if I know I’ll be working alone all day. According to the maker, charging should take one to two hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is anyone using these for shooting use?
I have, and it works great.

  • Where can you buy replacement plugs?
You can buy replacement plugs from Amazon.

  • What’s the difference between the liberate 2.0 & the free reign vl earplugs?
The FreeReign VL is one of our industrial models that features Tear-Resistant TuffCord™ and WorkSafe™ Volume Limiting Technology that keeps speaker volume below 82 dB and compliant with OSHA’s max volume guidelines. The Liberate 2.0 does not feature TuffCord or Volume Limiting Technology.

  • Will you ever offer them orange earplugs with a blue cord?
While we don’t have plans to offer the Liberate 2.0 in Light Blue/Orange at this time, we’ll keep your request in mind as we release new products.

  • I received the set today and proceeded to plug it up to charge it … it’s been plugged for 8 hours now And is still not charged. Any suggestions?
We’d love to get you set up with a replacement unit under warranty.

  • Do these provide caller ID on incoming calls? (I have 1pr that does, and another doesn’t)
The Liberate 2.0 reads off the phone number of the incoming call.

  • Do these come with the silicone neck guard that goes on the cord?
It came with a rubber/silicone (?) piece that snaps over the cord for cord protection. The piece is about 6-8″ long.

  • So can you answer incoming calls as well?
Yes, Liberate 2.0 allows you to answer or reject incoming calls with the buttons on the Quickdraw Easy Access Control.

  • Where can I buy replacement foam plugs?
I think the same people sell replacement foam plugs.

  • After a day I can only hear sound from one side. Is this normal?
No, it is not. Did you hear sound from both sides at the start of the day? Perhaps the wire was damaged.

  • Can you use these for 2-way radio communication? Do we have walkie-talkies at work with a single ear over speaker?
The phone is Bluetooth they connect to most Bluetooth devices. They do have a microphone and the sound quality for the phones and mc are very good. Will it work on a two-way radio? That would depend on the radio. It could need to be Bluetooth capable for this to work. It works with my phone very well. I suspect you will have issues with a two-way radio.

  • Will they pass as only earplugs at work, if your company frowns on earbuds?
Yes, but they are not worth the purchase. They tend to work their way out of the ear canal. It’s the material they are made of. It’s more silicon than plastic.

  • How long is the cord between the one ear plug and the microphone? Also, how long is the cord between the other ear plug and the battery box?
There are 9 inches of cord between ear plugs to the battery box and 4 1/2 inches from the earplug to the microphone. Also, you didn’t ask but while I’m here, 9 inches from the earplug to the controls.

  • I can use this for a ride whit my motorcycle?
Many of our customers use the Liberate 2.0 while riding motorcycles and other recreational vehicles. We’re frequently told they work well!
