Grow Garden Instructions

  1. Find a spot for your grow garden
Choose a room-temperature spot close to a window, or somewhere with natural daylight. Avoid drafty areas or near a heater.

  2. Fill the bin with water
Fill the grow garden bin with 56 litres, or 14.75 gallons, of lukewarm water. The water should reach about 3 inches from the top.

  3. Add nutrients
Add 56 mL of Optimum A nutrients and stir thoroughly. Add 56 mL of Optimum B nutrients and stir thoroughly.

  4. Check the pH
Dip a pH strip into the water in the bin. Compare it to the color chart. The pH level should be between 6.5 and 7.5. If too high, add lemon juice. If too low, add baking soda.

  5. Fill your pots with Rockwool
Fill each pot three-quarters of the way full with Rockwool.

  6. Wet the Rockwool
Submerge each pot and Rockwool into the bin with the nutrient water. The entire pot and Rockwool should now be wet.

  7. Place pots in the lid
Place the pots in the yellow lid. Do not secure the lid yet.

  8. Place your seeds
Choose what you want to grow and place the seeds into each pot.

  9. Set up the pump
Lift up the lid. Take the long end of the tube and push it down through the hole in the corner of the yellow lid.

  10. Connect tube to the airstone
Take the long end of the tube and connect it to the airstone.

  11. Place the airstone in the bin
Place the airstone in the water in the middle of the bin.

  12. Connect tube to pump
Connect the short end of the tube to the pump. Place your pump in a dry place for safety. Plug in your pump.

  13. Attach the lid
Secure the yellow lid on the bin until you hear a click. The bottoms of the pots should just be skimming the water.

  14. Check for sprouts
After 5 to 10 days, check to see if your seeds have sprouted.

  15. Mount the light
If they’ve sprouted, follow the instructions with your light and mount 6-8 inches above the grow garden, then turn it on. Keep the light on for at least 8 to 12 hours per day.
