Introduction

The DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel is a premium, portable low-profile panel with 12 precision machined control knobs and three high-resolution trackballs for quick access to all crucial primary color correction tools. The log and offset color correction switches, as well as a key to show DaVinci Resolve’s full- screen viewer, which is perfect for laptop use, are located above the middle trackball. You may also access the most often used grading functions and playback controls using the 18 dedicated keys on the right side. For independent editors and colorists who require a genuinely portable solution, the DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel is excellent. It works well on location for creating looks and assessing color and lighting, and it’s wonderful for swiftly grading film. trucks for broadcasting, excellent for education, and more!

Hardware Management Consoles

Working quickly is necessary while a client is watching. The control panels in DaVinci Resolve are made to provide you with smooth, hands-on control over several factors at once, enabling you to produce looks that are simply not feasible using a regular mouse! The best quality materials are used throughout, and all controls are rationally positioned close to your natural hand positions. You get weighted trackballs that are smooth and have high resolution, as well as dials and knobs that have been precisely constructed and have just the right degree of resistance for fine-tuning any setting. You may intuitively manipulate any aspect of the image with the DaVinci Resolve control panels.

Micro Panel for DaVinci Resolve

To access the main color correcting tools, this low-profile panel has 12 finely machined knobs and three high-definition trackballs. In addition to a key for full-screen playing and a set of keys for common functions and workspace navigation, there are buttons for toggling between the log and primary wheels.

Dedicated Trackballs

You can use the trackballs to change an image’s colors based on the lift, gamma, and gain tonal ranges. You may control numerous trackballs concurrently to produce uncommon effects, unlike a mouse and keyboard. You may build dynamic contrast and set master settings using the smoothly moving rings around the trackballs. Each trackball’s color, level, or both can be reset using the keys above it. You may activate offset, temperature, and tint adjustments, switch between primary and log wheel modes, and turn on your full-screen viewer output using the three keys at the top of the DaVinci Resolve Mini and Micro Panels. A fourth master gain trackball is available on the DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel to change the image as a whole.

Collaboration Among Many Users

The only option that enables you to expand and create your own multi-user post production studio is DaVinci Resolve! The recently revamped project libraries are made for in-person and online collaboration in real-time. The new Blackmagic Cloud, however, enables global hosting and access to your creations. With editors, colorists, visual effects artists, and sound engineers all working concurrently, you can now collaborate. The best part is that you can stop importing and exporting files, translating projects, losing work, and managing modifications. The only application in the world that allows users to collaborate simultaneously on the same project in parallel is DaVinci Resolve.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does this come with a studio version of DaVinci resolve?
Davinci Resolve is free, and the studio version, which has more features, is $300.00 (one-time fee/not a subscription).

  • Can this also be used with the premiere and final cut?
No. Just Resolve. Other panels allow other software to use the panel. Blackmagic only Resolve.

  • Does the Studio version come with the device? I’ve seen more recently that other places include the software for this price.
Yes. We ship the full DaVinci Resolve Studio version with purchase from VideoToybox. As of today, we have this unit in stock for immediate shipment.

  • What’s the real size of the panel?
It is 17” wide, 10” long, and 3.5” high(from the bottom to the top of knobs in the back row) which is the highest point. The unit is kinda heavy and built like a tank. Build quality is amazing. Highly recommend this piece of equipment.

  • Is it compatible with Adobe premier and final cut?
DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel only works with Resolve Software.

  • Are you able to control raw settings with it? aka redraw
You can control Davinci’s resolve with this. There are no “raw settings” in resolve. Raw files just provide you with more exposure latitude to adjust your footage

  • Does this include the studio version of the software? Does Blackmagic say it should?
No, it doesn’t unfortunately. Only the editing panel includes the studio key, which is silly since it cost a quarter of the price.

  • Hi does this work well with Sony Vegas? Also, this is a bit pricey for me to send several thru college any more affordable but very good products
I think that this works ONLY with BMD Resolve. There are other control surfaces out there that should work with non-Resolve apps. I can’t recall the name of them, but I know that there are other non-software-specific options.

  • Does this product come with the DaVinci Resolve software?
No. It doesn’t come with DaVinci Resolve Software.

  • Do I need the Blackmagic design ultra studio mini monitor playback device to plug it into my 2015 iMac?
No need. You just plug it in using a USB cable.

  • Is it compatible with OSC?
This Blackmagic Design device is made specifically to control Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio software. Unless you find documentation to the contrary, you should NOT expect it to work with OSC.
