WeCool LMT0006 Lumitek RC Bolt Mini Drone

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • This user’s manual is designed for use with your Bolt Mini Drone and contains the instructions you will need to assemble, operate and maintain your drone.
  • Please read all instructions and warning in this manual prior to using your LED Bolt Mini Drone, and keep this instruction manual as it contains important infor mation for future reference. Adult assembly will be required for battery installation
  • This drone is capable of total controlled flight, fly up/down, left/right, and pitch forwarder backward, on 6 axis gyro stabilization with a control range of 150 feet (e.g. 45m). Includes USB charging cable, replacement blades and for auto orientation, auto take-off and auto landing control. Included, is a 350 mAh Li-lon battery (replaceable). The remote controller requires 3 AAA 1.5V batteries (not included).
  • Never attempt to re-assemble any electronic components. These have been carefully calibrated at the factory.
  • Only use manufactured parts to upgrade your drone. Any malfunction incurred by custom modification will void your warranty.
  • Before flying your drone, please read this manual completely and examine your drone and control for any defects.
  • For better performances, some adjustments may be necessary
  • Always remove batteries from the controller when not in use.
  • Please operate your drone in a spacious area. Never operate your drone in crowded street.
  • This product is fully assembled at the factory. We do not take any responsibility for damage and/or accidents that occur as the result of custom modifications and/or incorrect operation.

INTRODUCTION

Prepare for flight

  • Drone battery must be charged before each use (Cable included).
  • Indicator light on USB plug will turn off when fully charged.
  • Install the drone battery and close the battery compartment.
  • Install 3 x AAA batteries in the remote controller.

Install battery in drone
Before each flight, start by pairing the remote with the drone:

  1. Turn your drone on and place it on a flat, leveled surface.
  2. Turn on the remote controller.
  3. Push the left stick up and then down.
  4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 if necessary.

Calibrate
Move both joysticks diagonally down toward the outside of the remote.

Remote Control Overview
Practice flying your drone below 10 feet (e.g. 3m) and at low speeds until you are comfortable with all controls to avoid unnecessary damage or injury.

  • Left joystick: Up/Down controls elevation.
  • Right joystick: controls flight direction.
  • Direction Trim: Use to eliminate drift.
  • To cut down the drone’s power, move the left joystick to the down position.

SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Not recommended for children under 8 years of age. As with all electrical products, precautions should be observed during handling and use to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
  • Adult supervision is required at all times.
  • Never fly drones above or near people, sudden changes in wind or other conditions could lead tounexpected crashes.
  • Always use caution when flying drone vehicles, obey relevant laws, respect the privacy and property rights of others.
  • The drone shall never be modined or used for anything except its intended purpose.
  • Before each use, an adult should review the product and battery to determine that no damage or hazards exist.
  • DO NOT TOUCH SPINNING PROPELLERS.
  • Do not allow anything to intentionally make contact in any way with spinning propellers or prevent contact with spinning blades bt turning offt remote prior to handling drine.
  • Use caution and pay attention to your surroundings while operating drone.
  • Do not fly drone into animals, people, or inanimate objects.
  • Keep drone away from power lines, buildings, trees, public areas, and any other potentially hazardous areas.
  • Alway fly drone in large open areas.
  • Do not operate in rain, heavy wind, and or ant type of severe weather. Do not land drone on wet surfaces.
  • Never touch or allow others to touch drone while it is flying.
  • Always turm drone off when it is not in use.

REMOTE CONTROLLER BATTERIES INSTALLATION

  1. Locate the remote controller battery compartment and release the screw witha Philips cross head screwdriver
  2. Open the battery compartment and Install 3 xAAA batteries while respecting the polarities as shown in the diagram.
  3. Replace and close the battery compartment. Do not forget to tighten the screw.

MINI DRONE BATTERY INSTALLATION

  1.  lurn of the drone and locate the battery cover under the drone (A)
  2.  Press down the plastic pin at the end of the battery compartment and slide horizontally the battery cover until you hear two clipping sounds (B)
  3.  Lift up the battery cover until the battery appears (C)
  4.  Connect the battery port to the drone port and insert the battery into the battery compartment. Do not force the connection, it is a one-way connection
  5. Close the battery compartment and slide it back in place, reverting the action done in the Diagram A

CHARGING BATTERY

  1.  Turn off the drone before charging.
  2.  Connect the battery charging cable to the charging port of the battery. There is only one way to connect the cbale to the battery. Do not force the connection.
  3.  Connect the USB charging cable to a power source. t. Average charging time is approximately 80 minutes. The drone operates for approximately minutes on a full charge.
  4.  The battery charging cable will light up (red LED) when it is charging the battery and will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
  5.  Disconnect the battery from the battery charger when the charge is complete.
    Note: the transformer, power supply, battery cord, plug, enclosure or any other part related to charging, in the event of damage, shall not be used until the damage has been repaired.

REPLACING PROPELLERS

  • Only an adult should replace the blades. To remove them, pull up the blades directly.
  • Replace the propellers by following the diagram above.
  • Each blade spins differently. Blades B spins counter clockwise and Blades A spins clockwise.

OPERATING THE DRONE

Step 1-Pre-Flight Checklist

  • Read all warnings and instructions
  • Install the remote controller batteries (Section Remote Controller Batteries Installation)
  • Charge the drone battery (Section Charging Battery)
  • Make sure that the drone and and remote controller are both turned off before manipulating batteries

Step 2-Choosing a location

  • The drone is designed to be flown indoors and outdoors
  • Always make sure that you have enough space to fily the drone.
  • Always follow the warnings at the beginning of this instruction manual
  • An optimal position is to be 10 feet (3 meters) away from the drone and have the drone fly about 5 feet (1.5 meters) from the ground

Step 3-Pre-Flight

  1. Make sure your remote controller is turned off
  2. Turn on (push to the right) the power switch under the drone until the lights flash slowly
  3. Place the drone on an even surface. For ease of control, the blue lights should be toward you
  4. Turn on the switch on the remote controller (push to the right). You will hear a bip sound and the red LED between the two sticks will start flashing up. Move the left stick up and then down. It will emit a beep sound every time you move the stick up and down. The LED light will then continuously be turned on
  5. Once the drone lights are not flashing anymore and the remote controller’s red LED is also light up, the pairing is complete and the drone ca be used

Step 4-Lift Off

  • Follow the two diagrams below to lift of the drone
  • We recommend using the method on the left for safety.

  • A. The drone drifts backwards. Press the Forward Trim buton
  • B. The drone drifts forwards. Press the Backward Trim button
  • C. The drone drifts to the right. Press the Left Trim button
  • D. The drone drifts to the left. Press the Right Trim button

Step 6-Landing the Drone

  1.  Make sure to lower the drone below 20 feet (6 meters) and press the Auto-Land button (A)
  2.  Use the right stick to manoeuver the drone and pull down the left stick until the drone has landed In the event the blades ill not stop spinning, you can pertorm an emergency stop by pressing at least twO seconds the autolanding button.

Step 7- Retrieving the Drone

  1.  Turn oT the remote controller by pushing the on/oft switch to the left. it will avoid turning accidentally the propellers on
  2.  Make sure the properlers have stopped spinning
  3.  You can pick up the drone!
    Note: You will need to pair the drone once again before your next flight (See Step 3)

OTHER FEATURES

Auto Orientation

  • Press the auto-Orientation button for 3 seconds (See Remote Controller Overview Section, A in
    the diagram above) to turn the mode ON.

  • Press it again for 3 seconds to turn it OFF. In this mode, the drone will always move in the direction you press the right stick no matter which way the drone faces

  • When the drone is in auto-orientation mode, the drone will orient to the user (who holds the remote controller), no matter what direction the drone is facing

Note: When you press the auto-orientation mode button, the remote controller will beep for 6 seconds to indicate it has entered this specific mode and will then beep every 6 seconds to warn the user is in auto- orientation mode.

Tips

  • Do not crash the drone into sand or dirt. The drone gears may become clogged.
  • When first learning to fly, practice lifting off and hovering.
  • Stay several feet from walls and buildings.

Battery Warning:
Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.

Battery Warnings:

  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), and rechargeable batteries (Nickel-cadmium).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Non-rechargeable batteries should not be recharged.
  • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the unit before being charged (if removable).
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable).
  • Exhausted batteries are to be removed.
  • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
