Phone Instructions

Android Guide

  • Before you get started make sure your phone is fully charged & all other apps are closed.
  1. Download the Ultimate Backup App.
    Search for Ultimate Backup in the Google
    Play Store. Allow Ultimate Backup to access your photos.

  2. Launch the Ultimate Backup App.

  3. Sign in or Create an Account. If this is your first time using Ultimate Backup, you will need to create an account within the app.

  4. Press Start Backup.
    May require you to allow permissions.
    Follow the steps given in the app to grant permissions.

Once you see Backup Complete, your files are saved onto your drive and you have the option to View & Print or remove files from your phone. You can now safely disconnect your drive to store in a safe place!

Windows Quick Start Guide

*Online instructions — ultimatebackup.com/windows

  1. Plug Ultimate Backup into your computer’s USB port
    Did you get a popup? If not, skip to step 5

  2. Click Open folder to view files Do NOT click Import pictures and videos

  3. Double-click Launch UltimateBackup

  4. Ultimate Backup will open. On the main screen, click START BACKUP and you are all set!
    Get Started without Autoplay

  5. Click Windows Start Button

  6. Select Computer, This PC, My Computer or File Explorer

  7. Double-click the drive labeled UBDRIVE

  8. Double-click LaunchUltimateBackup

  9. Ultimate Backup will open. On the main screen, click Start Backup and you are all set!

Mac Quick Start Guide

*Online instructions: ultimatebackup.com/mac

  1. Plug Ultimate Backup into your computer’s USB port
  2. On the Mac desktop, double-click the drive icon labeled UBDRIVE
  3. When Finder opens, double-click UltimateBackupForMac
  4. Ultimate Backup will open. On the main screen, click Start Backup and you are all set!

Chromebook Start Guide

  1. Download the Ultimate Backup Chromebook App from the Google Play Store.

  2. Open the App.

  3. Plug in Ultimate Backup.
    Granting Chromebook Access to your
    Ultimate Backup

  4. Click the time in the bottom right corner of your screen to open the System menu.

  5. Click the Gear/Settings icon in the top right corner.

  6. Click the Device tab in the left side menu.
    Alternatively, you can type External Storage in the search bar.

  7. Click the option Storage Management.

  8. Click External Storage Preferences.

  9. Under Available Devices, look for UBDRIVE.
    Toggle the switch to the right. It should now appear Blue
