Before starting the equipment

  • Before you connect the equipment to the power supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to those of the supply voltage.
  • Disconnect the compressed air supply before performing any cleaning, adjusting and maintenance work.

Air supply

  • Via a compressed air source with a pressure setting function, e.g. a compressor. Before starting up, please also read the section on care and maintenance.

Performance values of the compressor

  • The compressor used should have a tank volume of at least 50 litres.

Setting values for work with the suction spray gun

  • Set a maximum working pressure of 6.3 bar at your compressed air supply.

Remember

  • Wear the necessary protective clothing, in particular safety goggles, when working with the screwdriver.
  • Pay attention to the safety regulations.

Lubricating the tool
Each time before starting and during prolonged operation:

  • Insert 3-5 drops of special compressed air oil into the compressed air connection (5) (not included in delivery)
  • Let the equipment run briefly so that any surplus oil is blown out.

Inserting/removing a tool

  • Fit the required drive socket insert by pushing onto the square drive mount (3).
  • Remove the drive socket insert by pulling it off the square drive mount (3).

Operation

Connecting to a compressed air supply

  • Connect the nipple (5) to the quick-lock coupling of a compressed air hose (the hose is not supplied).
  • Note the maximum permissible operating pressure of the equipment.

Rotational direction switch/ torque switch

You can select counter-clockwise or clockwise rotation and the torque using the rotational direction switch (2).

  1. Low torque
  2. Medium torque
  3. High torque

Important!
To avoid gear damage, make sure that the tool has come to a complete stop before you change the direction of rotation.

Working with the impact driver Loosening

  • Set the direction of the rotational direction switch (2) to counter-clockwise.
  • Mount a drive socket insert on the impact driver (see point 5.2).
  • Place the impact driver on the screw/nut and press the trigger lever (1).
  • If the screws/nuts are very tight or if they are rusted, use a tyre wrench or torque wrench to slightly loosen them.

Tightening

  • Warning! Use the impact driver only for loosening screws/nuts. If you want to use the impact driver to tighten screws and nuts, you must also use a torque limiter which is designed for this purpose. If not, the screw connection may be damaged. The torque limiter is available from your dealer. It is not included in the scope of this delivery.
  • Prior to tightening, carefully insert the screw/ nut into the threads.
  • Screws/nuts with special torque specifications (for example provided by the vehicle manufacturer in the automotive sector) must be tightened only with a suitable torque limiter.

Danger!
Screws/nuts must be finish-tightened with a torque wrench which is set to the torque specified by the manufacturer and then they must be checked!
