Fitting the CXR5

The CXR5 should be securely mounted inside your helmet, positioned on your head for optimal use. Adjust the fitting to ensure the bone conductive microphone makes firm contact with the top of your head.

Thank you for purchasing the Entel CXR5 bone conductive headset. This user guide will explain the features of your microphone, which with care should provide many years of trouble free operation.
The CXR5 is a high-performance bone conductive headset that delivers clear, intelligible audio transmissions, even in high ambient noise environments.

FITTING
The CXR5 should be mounted securely inside your helmet so that it sits on your head, as shown on the cover image. Adjust the fitting to ensure that the bone conductive microphone makes firm contact with the top of your head. Connect the audio connector of the CXR5 to the PTT unit.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Insert the Nexus connector of the CXR5 directly into the PTT unit.
  • Attach the PTT unit to a pocket or collar using the clip on the rear of the unit.
  • Press the PTT button to transmit and release to receive.

IMPORTANT

Always switch the radio off before attaching an audio accessory. Models that are certified to ATEX & IECEx have been clearly labelled. Should, in the course of use, any labels be removed or become illegible please return the accessory to Entel for relabelling.
Please note that the use of a connector other than the Nexus connector may damage the socket and invalidate the warranty.
