Header
Cutout for the header as shown. Centre of pivot is 36mm from the edge of the cutout. Position the cutout depending on the distance from the door jamb.
Door Positioing
Determine the gaps around the door:
– Top and latch side gap= 3mm
– Bottom gap= 15mm (can be reduced if the pivot is set in by up to 3mm)
Hinge side gap = depends on the thickness of the door With the example above.
we have used a 40mm door. By drawing to scale, and using a compass to scribe
an arc from the centre of the pivot point to the corners of the door, we can
determine that the door will require 3.65mm plus a tolerance of around 2.5mm.
Total = 6mm gap : Pivot point= 59mm from the jamb In order to reduce this gap,
you can arris the corners of the door.
Top of Door
Cutout top corner of the door as shown. Drill a 10mm dia hole to acces the adjusting screw
Botom of Door
Cutout bottom corner of the door as shown to receive the pivot mechanism as shown.
