Installing Batteries

  1.  Use the index finger of your right hand to fasten the tea clip and push the left thumb upwards to open the Celt clip.

  2. Use the thumb of your right hand to We the buckle of the battery cover and push it upward.

  3. Install the battery correctly. cover the battery cover, attach the belt cap. turn on the power volume knob and adjust volume level, ensure that the channel switches on both device are set to the same channel to communicate with each other.

Charging the Battery

1. Connect the USB cable of the charging base to the adapter and plug it into an AC power source (AC 110V 60Hz). The charging base’s indicator light will turn on(RED).
2. Insert the walkie-talkie with the battery into the charging base to ensure proper contact. The walkie-talkie’s indicator light will turn red, indicating that the charging process has begun. When the indicator light turns green, it signifies that the battery is fully charged.
3. Only use the adapter provided for this device to avoid damaging the walkie-talkie.

Warm reminder
The primary indication of whether the battery is fully charged is based on the walkie-talkies indicator light. When the light changes from red to green, it signifies that the battery is fully charged. The charging base’s indicator light will stay RED to indicate that it is connected to a power source.

Charging Precaution

The optional battery is not charged at the factory. Please charge the new or unused rechargeable battery before usage. Two or three charging/discharging cycles will optimize the battery capacity. When the battery level is low, charge or replace the battery.

CHARGING CAUTIOUS:

  • Avoid short-circuiting the battery terminals or exposing the battery to fire.
You can charge the battery while it is installed on the walkie-talkie, but ensure that the walkie-talkie is turned off to enable full charging of the battery.

  • Do not leave the walkie-talkie and battery on the charger when not charging. Continuous charging will reduce the battery’s lifespan.

  • Do not place a fully charged walkie-talkie back on the charger to “power up” as this will significantly decrease the battery’s cycle life.

  • Whenever possible, charge the battery indoors at about 25°C. Charging the battery when the temperature is below 0°C may cause electrolyte leakage, leading to a faulty battery.

  • Charging the battery when the temperature is above 50°C will reduce the battery’s discharge capacity, affecting the walkie-talkie’s usage.

Function Operation

  1. SWITCHING POWER ON/OFF
Rotate the power/volume knob clockwise. You will hear a channel number, indicating that the device is ON.

  2. ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Hold down the MONI button to listen to the audio level while rotating the power/volume knob. Rotate clockwise to increase volume and counterclockwise to decrease volume.

  3. CHANNEL KNOB
Rotate the knob to select channels 1 to 16. Rotate counterclockwise to decrease the value of channel name and clockwise to increase the value of channel name.

  4. PTT (push-to-talk) SWITCH
Press the PTT switch and speak into the microphone. The indicator light turns red. Release The PTT switch to receive signal, and it lights up green when receiving a signal. To receive transmissions. other users must be on :he same channel as you.
Note: The talking range varies depending on terrain and weather conditions. The range can reach 3-5 miles in open areas such as rural areas, suburbs, or seaside locations with no obstructions. In cities or towns. walkie talkies can reach 0.6-1.2 miles in most cases, depending on the obstruction of :he environment.

  5. SQUELCH LEVEL
The squelch level determines the signal strength required to open the speaker of the walkie talkie. Lower squelch levels result in higher background noise when the walkie talkie’s speaker is open, resulting in an increased communication range but weaker anti-interference capacity. The default squelch level 15 S. and you can adjust it through the -Squelch lever option in the °Optional Features” menu of the programming software. Levels 0 to 9 can be selected, with 0 being the lowest level.

  6. VOX
    a. The VOX function is effective when turned on. b. The VOX gain level adjusts the sound level required for automatic transmission. The VOX gain level can be adjusted from levels 1 to 9. c. When a signal is received, VOX will not transmit even if the sound level is higher than the set VOX gain level. d. To activate the VOX function ON/OFF, press and hold PTT and MONI on channels CH1-CH5 and switch on the device.

  7. MONITOR
When receiving and no signals are present, the squelch function mutes the speaker to prevent background noise. To switch off the squelch function, press and hold the MONI button. This is helpful when adjusting the volume level and receiving weak signals.

  8. Battery Saving
    a. ON: The device will automatically enter the battery saving mode after 10 seconds of inactivity. b. OFF: Battery saving mode is disabled.
9.Busy Channel Lockout (BCL) Enable or disable the busy channel lockout function for each channel through the PC programming software. When this feature is turned on, transmission is prohibited on the current channel.

  9. Baftety Voltage Warning
When the battery voltage drops below the specified level, the device will emit a “Please change battery” prompt every 5 seconds. Pressing the PTT button will be ineffective and the device will emit a “Dr sound.

  10. Time-out Timer (TOT)
The TOT function prevents continuous transmission on a channel, which can cause the device to heat up. If the transmission time exceeds the TOT limit set by the device (1 minute by default), the device will stop transmitting. To resume transmission, simply release and press the PTT button again.

  11. CTCSS/DCS
The CTCSSIDCS for each channel can be programmed through software. When CTCSS/DCS is set for a channel, the devicesquelch will only open when it receives a signal with the same CTCSS/DCS. If different CTCSS/DCS is used on the same channel, the device squelch will not turn on and only the green light will be illuminated. There are 50 sub-CTCSS groups and 105 digital sub-audio DCS groups. Please note that the use of CTCSSIDCS on a channel does not guarantee confidentiality.
