Setting Up the Instrument

Basic Operation
Switching on/off
- To switch on, press the on/off button. The LED display goes on. This instrument default mode is set to “000 Acoustic Grand Piano” timbre and 120 tempo.
- To switch off, press the on/off button again. The LED display goes off.
Adjusting volume
- Use the MASTER VOL button on the left control panel to adjust volume level from 1 to 16. OD t To increase the volume, press MASTER VOL button[+]. The LED display shows VOLUME and corresponding level.
- To decrease the volume, press MASTER VOL button[-]. The LED display shows VOLUME and corresponding level.
Built-in memory
This function allows you to store up to 3 sets of timbre, rhythm and tempo
information.
To save timbre, rhythm and tempo
- Set a preferred rhythm, timbre, and tempo.
- Press and hold the MEMORY button on the front control panel, then press the M1, M2 or M3 button on front control panel to save the setting under selected memory.
To retrieve a memory setting
Press the M1, M2 or M3 button on the front control panel to set a desired
memory.
Functions
Turning on keyboard percussion
- To turn the keyboard percussion on, press the KEYBOARD PERCUSSION button on the bottom control panel.
- To turn the keyboard percussion off, press the KEYBOARD PERCUSSION button on the bottom control panel again.
Selecting timbre
- Press the TIMBRE button on the right control panel. The LED display shows TONE. The default timbre is “000 Acoustic Grand Piano”.
- Press the[-] button to select previous timbre, or[+] to select next timbre on the right control panel.
- Alternatively, enter 3-digit timbre code on the right control panel. The corresponding timbre code appears on the LED display.
Setting tempo
- Press the[-] button to decrease tempo, or[+] to increase tempo on the left control panel.
- The corresponding tempo value appears on the LED display.
- Simultaneously press the[-] and[+] buttons on the left control panel to return to a default tempo.
Using rhythms
- Press the RHYTHM button on the right control panel. The LED display shows RHYM. The default rhythm is “000 Hard Rock”.
- Press the[-] button to select previous rhythm, or[+] to select next rhythm on the right control panel.
- Alternatively, enter 3-digit rhythm code on the right control panel. The corresponding rhythm code appears on the LED display.
Using Metronome
To start the metronome
- Press the METRONOME button on the left control panel. The LED display shows the metronome oscillating. The metronome automatically starts with a 1/4 beat.
- To stop the metronome press the START/STOP button on the left control panel or press the METRONOME button. The metronome on the LED display stops oscillating.
To select a metronome mark
- 1/4 beat : Press the METRONOME button on the left contra .__ panel once. The LED display shows the metronome wind- , and 1 beat point flashing.
- 2/4 beats: Press the METRONOME button on the left corr, panel twice. The LED display shows the metronome win – ‘. and 2 beat points flashing.
- 3/4 beats : Press the METRONOME button on the left co · panel 3 times. The LED display shows the metronome win – up and 3 beat points flashing.
- 4/4 beats : Press the METRONOME button on the left control panel 4 times. The LED display shows the metronome windup and 4 beat points flashing.
To adjust metronome volume
- Press the[-] button to decrease volume, or[+] to increase volume on the left control panel.
- The LED display shows RC-VOLUME and corresponding metronome volume level.
Using Effects
Tone
Sustain function
This function is intended to sustain the ending time of a note, allowing notes
to ring out for longer, even when the keys are not held down anymore.
- To turn the sustain effect on, press the SUSTAIN button on the left control panel. The LED display shows SUS.
- To turn the sustain effect off, press the SUSTAIN button on the left control panel again. SUS disappears from the LED display.
Vibrato function
This function is intended to create a vibrato effect on a note. Mibrato effect
consist of a regular, pulsating change of pitch.
- To turn the vibrato function on, press the VIBRATO button on the left control panel. The LED display shows VIB.
- To turn the vibrato function off, press the VIBRATO button on the left control panel again. VIB disappears from the LED display.
Transpose function
This function is intended to raise or lower the actual value of any particular
key (note wise the overall key of the keyboard in semitones). The transpose
range is within -/ + 6 semitones.
To transpose a key
- Press the[-] button to lower the actual value of the note, or [+] to raise actual value of the note.
- The corresponding note value appears on the LED display.
- Simultaneously press the[-] and[+] buttons at the same time to return to the default key (C major).
Keyboard Split Function
This function is intended to divide the keyboard into two zones, allowing you to play two timbres simultaneously with left hand and right hand. The split point on the keyboard is located between B (14) and C1 key (15) on white key.
Splitting the keyboard
- Press the SPLIT button on the front control panel. The LED display shows SPLIT.
- Once the split function is activated, the scale on the left and zone increases by an octave (range C3-B4), while the scale on the right-hand zone decreases by an octave (range C3-C6).
- To disable the split function, press the SPLIT button on the front control panel again. SPLIT disappears from the LED display.
Selecting a desired timbre for each zone
- The timbre for the left-hand zone must be set before activating the split function.
- Press the SPLIT button on the front control panel to activate the split function. The LED display shows SPLIT.
- Select right-hand zone timbre following the same method as for the left-hand zone. At this stage only timbre for the right-hand zone can be changed.
- Once the split function is disabled, only right-hand timbre is set as a main timbre for the entire keyboard.
