IMPORTANT: This Owner’s Manual contains valuable information regarding safety, operation, maintenance and storage of your EBGO electrically assisted bicycle (hereinafter “EAB”) and its battery. Please take the time to carefully read and understand all warnings, safety instructions and recom-mended precautions set out in the Owner’s Manual before using or allowing another person to use your EAB.

Failure to comply with warnings, safety instructions, directives and re- commended precautions set out in the Owner’s Manual as the misuse of the EAB can damage your EAB, its accessories and/or other proper-ty. The failure to respect the warnings, safety instructions and recommended precautions can also lead to injury and/or death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.

WARNINGS ON THE USE OF THE ELECTRICALLY ASSISTED BICYCLE

COMPLIANCE WITH ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS OF THE EAB

Any person proceeding to the assembly of the EAB must comply with the assembly instructions set out in the Assembly Manual included with the EAB.

  • Failure to comply with the assembly instructions set out in the Assembly Manual included with the EAB can lead to the malfunction, breakage and/or premature wear of the components and/or the parts of the EAB, which can lead to accidents, cause property damages, cause injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.

  • Failure to comply with the assembly instructions set out in the Assembly Manual included with the EAB voids EBGO limited warranty. This includes, but is not limited to, any alteration or modification as well as any addition or withdrawal to the EAB, to its components and/or to its parts.

  • EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury suffered by the EAB user and/or by any third party resulting of the failure to comply with the assembly instructions set out in the Assembly Manual included with the EAB.
    Any alteration, modification as well as any addition or removal to the EAB, to its components and/or to its parts subsequent to the assembly of the EAB which do not comply to the assembly instructions set out in the Assembly Manual included with the EAB also voids

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INTENDED USE OF THE EAB

WEARING A HELMET IS MANDATORY AT ALL TIMES WHEN USING THE EAB. The following uses of the EAB are prohibited:

  • Use of the EAB to execute stunts, acrobatics and/or jumps, on ramp or elsewhere;
  • Use of the EAB for any type of races;
  • Aggressive and/or negligent driving of the EAB;
  • Use of the EAB in violation of current speed limits at the locations where the EAB is used or use of the EAB which exceeds the capacities and the abilities of its user;
  • Use of the EAB at an inappropriate speed for the climatic conditions, for the road conditions and/or for the slope;
  • Use of the EAB by a user who has a physical or medical condition that puts himself at risk of dizzy spells, dizziness, fall and/or other accidents;
  • Use of the EAB while the user’s faculties are impaired by alcohol, drugs and/or any other substance;
  • Use of the EAB by more than one person at the time;
  • Use of the EAB to transport and/or to tow loads in excess of the load limits indicated in the following table:

Use of the EAB is not recommended in the following conditions

  • In case of heavy rain;
  • In the presence of snow and/or hail;
  • In the presence of snow and/or ice on the pavement;
  • Poor visibility, including but not limited to mist, fog conditions, snow, hail, rain and/or at night;
  • Exterior temperature of 0°C and below (32°F and below);
  • Exterior temperature of 40°C and above (104°F and above);
  • Presence of salt, sea salt, sand or calcium on the pavement.

Failure to comply with the instructions for the intended use of the EAB set out in the Owner’s Manual can lead to the to malfunction, breakage and/or premature wear of the components and/or the parts of the EAB, which can lead to accidents, cause property damages, cause injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.
Failure to comply with the instructions for the intended use of the EAB set out in the Owner’s Manual voids EBGO limited warranty.
EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury suffered by the EAB user and/or by any third party resulting from the failure to comply with the instructions for the intended use set out in the EAB of the Owner’s Manual.

COMPLIANCE WITH CURRENT REGULATIONS

EBGO ensures that the EAB has been designed and manufactured in accor-dance with the current Canadian norms that are applicable to the electrically assisted vehicles, including the norms regarding the motor power and the maximum speed achievable with the electrical assistance.
All EAB users must inquire about current legislation and regulations regarding the use of the EAB in any country, state, territory or province where the EAB is used or will be used, which includes but is not limited to:

  • The required minimal age to use the EAB;
  • The rules regarding the driving of the EAB on a public road;
  • The rules regarding the driving of the EAB off a public road;
  • The rules regarding the user’s mandatory protection equipment to use the EAB, including but not limited to wearing a helmet. EBGO strongly recommends to wear a helmet at all times while using the EAB;
  • The rules regarding the mandatory security and visibility equipment for an EAB, including but not limited to the reflectors and the lights on the EAB.

All EAB users must comply with the current legislation and regulation regarding the use of the EAB in any country, state, territory or province where the EAB is used or will be used, which includes but is not limited to:

  • The required minimal age to use the EAB;
  • The rules regarding the driving of the EAB on public road;
  • The rules regarding the driving of the EAB off a public road;
  • The rules regarding the user’s mandatory protection equipment to use the EAB, including but not limited to wearing a helmet. EBGO strongly recommends to wear a helmet at all times while using the EAB;

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF THE

LITHIUM BATTERY

BATTERY SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
All EAB users must comply with the instructions for charging, maintenance and storage of the lithium battery of the EAB included in the following sub- sections of the Owner’s manual.
The following safety instructions regarding the EAB battery must be observed by all users of the EAB and its battery when handling, using, maintaining and/or storing the battery and its charger:

  • Use only the original battery and the charger recommended by EBGO;
  • Never use the battery and the charger for a use other than that intended;
  • Do not open, disassemble or modify the battery or the charger;
  • Always use the charger in a ventilated location, with sufficient clearance around it;
  • Do not place the charger or the battery in an unstable position;
  • Do not cover the battery or the charger or hang elements on them;
  • Do not expose the battery or the charger to a temperature of 0 °C and below (32°F and below);
  • Do not expose the battery or the charger to a temperature of 40 °C and above (104°F and above);
  • Do not expose the battery or the charger to liquids, including but not limited to water, including rain;
  • Do not place the battery or the charger in or close to any heating appliance, gas appliance or a microwave device;
  • Do not use a battery or a charger which is dusty or covered with any substance. Clean the battery or the charger beforehand with a dry cloth;
  • Do not use a damaged battery, charger or power cord;
  • Do not use the charger if the connectors are damaged or dirty;
  • Regularly check the battery and the charger to identify any damage;
  • Do not use the battery or the charger if it heats unusually, emits an unusual smell, abnormal sounds and/or smoke, if the indicator light of the battery or the charger does not light up or if anything appears abnormal;
  • Ensure compliance with the order of connection of the battery and the charger set out at the following subsection entitled

“INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGING THE LITHIUM BATTERY”;

  • Only connect the charger to an electrical outlet of AC 110V. The use of a converter or extension cord is permitted;
  • Do not continue to charge the battery if the charge is not completed at the end of the theoretical charging time of two (2) hours (for more details, see the following subsection entitled “INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY CHARGING”);
  • Do not let the charger on when the battery is not connected;
  • Do not touch the battery or the charger with wet hands;
  • Never touch the hot surfaces of the battery;
  • Do not touch for too long the charger or the battery during the charge to avoid burns and any other injury;
  • Do not let keep the battery or the charger within reach of children. Extreme caution is called for;
  • Always refer to EBGO customer service for any question regarding the EAB battery or charger, including but not limited to the inspection, maintenance, repair and/or adjustment of the battery and charger;
  • Failure to comply with the above battery safety instructions can lead to the malfunction, breakage and/or premature wear of the battery and/or the charger, which can lead to accidents, fire, property damages, electrocutions, injury to the EAB user and/or to a third
  • party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.
  • Failure to comply with the above battery safety instructions can also reduce the anticipated lifespan of the battery.
  • Failure to comply with the above battery safety instructions voids EBGO li-mited warranty.
  • EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury suffered by the EAB user and/or by any third party resulting from the failure to comply with the above battery safety instructions.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INITIAL BATTERY CHARGING

  • Before the first use of the EAB, the EAB user must remove the battery from “sleep mode”. To do so, the EAB user must hold the power button of the battery for 15 seconds. After this period, the user must re-press the button normally for one second. The indicator light will then turn on, confirming that the battery is ready to be recharged.
  • The user must then carry out a full charge of the EAB battery using the char-ger provided by EBGO.
  • The EAB user must comply with the battery safety instructions as well as the instructions for charging the battery set out in the Owner’s Manual.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions for initial battery charging can reduce the anticipated lifespan of the battery.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY CHARGING

It is essential to follow the following steps to connect and disconnect the battery and to follow the order of the steps to prevent damages to the charger and the battery. It is possible to use a converter and/or an extension cord to connect the charger to the electrical outlet.

TO CONNECT THE BATTERY

  1. Connect the charger to the battery.
  2.  Connect the charger to the electrical outlet AC 110V.
  3. The indicator light will turn on:
    • Green indicator: The charge level of the battery is over 80%;
    • Blue indicator: The charge level of the battery is between 20% and 80%;
    • Red indicator: The charge level of the battery is below 20%.

TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY

  1. Disconnect the charger from the electrical outlet.
  2. Disconnect the charger from the battery.

TO CHARGE THE BATTERY
A full charge takes around 2 hours without interruption.

NEVER CHARGE THE BATTERY FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS. IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR CHARGER AND YOUR BATTERY.

  • You can charge the battery at any time, since your battery is said to be “me-mory-free” and your charger is of the “smart type”. It will stop charging by itself when the battery is fully charged. Nevertheless, it is essential to not let the battery connected to the charger for more than 24 hours.
  • It is recommended to charge the battery after each ride.
  • If you do not use your EAB for extended periods, store the battery in accor-dance with the battery maintenance and storage instructions set out in the Owner’s Manual after having completed a full charge of the battery for 2 hours.
  • Then, to maintain the anticipated lifespan of the battery and its proper functioning, you have two options:
  1. Charge the battery for 30 minutes each month; or
  2.  Put the battery in “sleep mode”: Hold the power button of the battery for 15 seconds. After this delay, re-press the button normally for one second. If the indicator light does not turn on, your battery is now in “sleep mode”. To remove the battery from “sleep mode”, follow the instructions FOR INITIAL BATTERY CHARGING

Always use the lithium charger provided by EBGO with an EBGO lithium bat-tery, or you could damage your charger and your battery.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF THE BATTERY AND CHARGER
To appropriately maintain and store the EAB battery and charger as well as maintain their lifespan, do not expose the EAB battery and the charger to extreme conditions of heat (above 40°C / 104°F) and cold (below 0°C / 32°F). Do not expose them to humidity conditions (rain, water). Avoid storing your battery in an unheated garage, shed, storage building or basement.
Even though your battery is said to be “memory-free”, it is good to let your battery discharge completely periodically and then to carry out a full 2-hour charge to keep it in optimum working order.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY AND/OR CHARGER REPLACEMENT
Immediately stop any handling and/or use of the EAB battery and replace immediately the EAB battery and/or charger in the following events:

  • The battery and/or the charger is opened, disassembled or modified;
  • The battery and/or the charger is damaged or deformed;
  • The battery does not charge when connected to the charger provided with the EAB or the full charge takes more than 2 hours;
  • The battery and/or the charger abnormally heats up;
  • The battery and/or the charger overheats;
  • The battery and/or the charger has been exposed to liquids, including but not limited to water, including rain;
  • The battery and/or the charger emits an abnormal smell;
  • The batterie and/or the charger emits electric shocks and/or electric arcs;
  • The battery and/or the charger emits unusual sounds.

Failure to comply with the instructions for charging, maintenance, storage and replacement of the battery as well as the instructions for charger repla- cement set out in the Owner’s Manual can lead to the malfunction, breakage and/or premature wear of the battery and/or charger, which can cause pro-perty damages, cause injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.

Failure to comply with the instructions for charging, maintenance, storage and replacement of the battery as well as the instructions for charger re- placement set out in the Owner’s Manual can also reduce the anticipated lifespan of the battery.

Failure to comply with the instructions for charging, maintenance, storage and replacement of the battery as well as the instructions for charger replacement set out in the Owner’s Manual voids EBGO limited warranty.
EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury suffered by the user of the battery and/or charger and/or by any third party resulting of the failure to comply with the instructions for charging, maintenance, storage and replacement of the battery as well as the instructions for charger replacement set out in the Owner’s Manual.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF THE EAB

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE EAB MAINTENANCE

To clean the EAB, use a soft, damp cloth on the non-electrical components. If needed, a clear, low-pressure water jet can be used to clean the non-elec- trical components that are more difficult to access and/or are dirtier. To protect the internal wiring and the electrical components, do not use a pressure machine. For the electrical components, use a soft, dry cloth.

Never use corrosive or flammable chemical solvent to clean your EAB, for example, but without limitation, alcohol, gas, paraffin or acetone.
The EAB user must regularly, including before hitting the road, carry out EAB components and parts checks to ensure that they are operable and in good condition. Please read carefully the list of inspection and adjustments to carry out included in the section “BEFORE HITTING THE ROAD” of the Owner’s Manual.

  • In the event that components and/or parts of the EAB require adjustments and/or show signs of premature wear, the EAB user must make the required repairs and, if needed, must consult a specialized electric bike center.
  • The EAB user must have the EAB periodically checked by a specialized electric bike center for its general maintenance and for the detection of stress and/or potential failure including, but not limited to the generality of the foregoing, cracks, deformation, corrosion, peeling paint, dent and any other indication of potential problems, misuse or abuse.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB maintenance set out in the Owner’s Manual can lead to the malfunction, breakage and/or premature wear of the components and/or the parts of the EAB, which can cause property damages, cause injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB maintenance set out in the Owner’s Manual voids EBGO limited warranty.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE EAB STORAGE

  • When the EAB is not in use, store the EAB inside, in a safe, cool and dry location away from sunlight, bad weather conditions and damp elements.
  • Follow the instructions for maintenance and storage of the battery set out in the section “INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF THE LITHIUM BATTERY” of the Owner’s Manual.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB storage set out in the Owner’s Manual can lead to the malfunction, breakage and/or premature wear of the components and/or the parts of the EAB, which can cause property damages, cause injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB storage set out in the Owner’s Manual voids EBGO limited warranty.
  • EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury suffered by the EAB user and/or by any third party resulting of the failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB storage set out in the Owner’s Manual.

BEFORE HITTING THE ROAD
IMPORTANT: All EAB users must ensure that the EAB has been assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions set out in the Assembly Manual included with the EAB before any use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE EAB

  • Before the first use of the EAB, all users must operate the EAB and ride the EAB in a safe, low-traffic location for a minimal period of 1 hour, depending on their level of experience, to familiarize themselves with the operation of the EAB and to develop a sufficient understanding of the driving and the operation of the EAB to provide them with an adequate level of ability and safety.

  • The inexperience of the EAB user and/or the failure of the EAB user to develop a sufficient understanding of the driving and the operation of the EAB to provide him with an adequate level of ability and safety can cause property damages, injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.

  • EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury suffered by the EAB user and/or by any third party resulting of the inexperience of the EAB user and/or the failure of the EAB user to develop a sufficient understanding of the driving and the operation of the EAB to provide him with an adequate level of ability and safety.

  • All EAB users must regularly, including before hitting the road, carry out components and parts checks to ensure that they are operable and in good condition and, if needed, provide the needed corrections on the following items :

  • ALL EAB COMPONENTS: Inspect the EAB components, including the handlebar, the wheels and the saddle stem, to ensure that they are well screwed, fixed and safe. If needed, screw and fix the EAB components that may have been loosened due to the handling of the EAB and/or its transportation as well as if the EAB has been left unattended;

  • TIRES: Check the condition and the pressure of the tires before any use of the EAB in order to make sure they are inflated to the pressure level recommended by the tire manufacturer of the tire. This pressure (PSI) is normally indicated, with some exceptions,
    on the side of the tire. Excessive pressure can lead to the bursting of the tire while not enough pressure can lead to a superior energy consumption and reduce the battery autonomy. N.B.: For each pound of air (PSI) below the recommended pressure by the manufacturer, you reduce the battery autonomy of 1km (0.62 mile);

  • FRONT AND BACK AXLETREES: Make sure that the axletrees are not loosened;

  • RIMS: Clean the dirtiness and the remains. Make sure of the absence of cracks or deformation;

  • DERAILLEUR: Make sure that the axes and the chain are correctly lubricated. Always pedal at the change of speed. For an adjustment of the derailleur, contact a specialized electric bike center;
    BRAKES: Make sure that the brake cable is not punctured or torn. Apply the brakes on the handle to check that the brakes operate normally and that there is a good hydraulic pressure. If there is no pressure, consult a specialized electric bike center for an adjustment;

  • MECHANICAL CONTROL CABLES: Make sure that no control cable of the speed or of the brakes is punctured or torn;

  • ELECTRICAL WIRING: Make sure that the wires are not loosened, damaged or cut; REFLECTORS: Make sure that every reflector of the EAB is in place, screwed, visible and not damaged;

  • LIGHTS: Make sure that every light of the EAB, connected to the EAB or to AA batteries, is working;

  • BATTERY: Check the condition and the performance of the battery. In the presence of any abnormality, as overheat, smell, abnormal sounds, presence of electric arcs or any other indication of malfunction, stop immediately to use the battery and replace it immediately.

Failure of the EAB user to regularly, including before hitting the road, carry out components and parts checks and to provide the needed repairs can lead to the malfunction, breakage and/or premature wear of the components and/or the parts of the EAB, which can cause property damages, cause injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.
Failure to comply with the inspection of the EAB components and parts and failure to provide the needed corrections voids EBGO limited warranty.
EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury suffered by the EAB user and/or by any third party resulting of the omission and/or the negligence of the EAB user to regularly, including before hitting the road, check out EAB components and parts stated above and to provide the needed corrections.

RECOMMENDED PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING THE EAB
It is recommended that all users of the EAB comply with the following precautions before hitting the road and when using the EAB

  • Carry out EAB components and parts checks stated above and provide the needed corrections ;

  • Wear the appropriate protection equipment depending on the type of output, the exterior conditions and the current legislation, including but not limited to, gloves and visible clothing. EBGO strongly recommends wearing a helmet at all times while using the EAB ;

  • Make sure that your EAB is equipped of the mandatory safety and visibility equipment under the current legislation, and required by the exterior conditions and the road conditions, including, but not limited to, reflectors and lights ;

  • Have a complete knowledge and an understanding of traffic rules and local regulations before hitting the road ;

  • When possible, use the cycle paths and drive on the side of the road designated by law ;

  • Avoid sudden stops and starts ;

  • Slowly speed up when you drive. A sudden acceleration can lead to a loss of equilibrium and cause falls or injuries;

  • Do not make any sudden movements when you operate the EAB;

  • Do not drive the bicycle backward et do not make any maneuver or action susceptible to put yourself and others at risk while driving;

  • Keep a safe speed at all times;

  • Make sure to indicate your intentions;

  • Stay vigilant in uphill and downhill slopes and adjust your position based on the slope;

  • Keep a safe distance with other cyclists and any other vehicle, road user, obstacle and structure, and adapt your driving to the road conditions;

  • Make sure to perform a safe overtaking;

  • Keep your hands on the handlebar;

  • If the battery charge is low, keep a constant low speed and charge the battery as soon as possible;
    Do not use the EAB in low visibility surroundings, including but not limited to, in presence of mist, fog conditions, snow, hail, rain and/or at night;

  • Do not lend your bicycle to other persons without familiarizing themselves with this Owner’s Manual beforehand;

  • Do not drive your bicycle when you are ill, injured, tired, under the influence of medication, drugs and/or alcohol and/or when your faculties are impaired by any other cause;

  • Do not use the EAB with headphones on;

  • Always be aware of your environment, your faculties and your abilities and make sure to always drive in safe conditions;

  • Make sure to hydrate and eat well before and during the use of the EAB. Respect your physical limits.

Failure to comply with the recommended precautions when using the EAB by the EAB user can cause property damages, cause injury to the EAB user and/or to a third party, and/or cause the death of the EAB user and/or of a third party.
EBGO cannot be held responsible for any property damage, moral damage and/or bodily suffered by the EAB user and/or by any third party resulting of the omission and/or the negligence of the EAB user to comply with the recommended precautions when using the EAB.

EBGO LIMITED WARRANTY

WARRANTY GENERAL CONDITIONS
The EBGO limited warranty is only valid if the EAB owner has the proof of purchase in hand.
The EBGO limited warranty is conditional to the following:

  • Every EAB user must have complied with the assembly instructions of the EAB set out in the Assembly Guide included with the EAB;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the instructions for the intended use of the EAB set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the battery safety instructions set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the instructions for initial battery charging set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the instructions for charging, maintenance, storage and replacement of the battery set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the instructions for maintenance, storage and replacement of the charger set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the instructions for the EAB maintenance set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the instructions for the EAB storage set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • Every EAB user must have complied with the instructions for using the EAB set out in the Owner’s Manual.

The EAB owner has to contact directly the retailer who has sold the EAB.

SCOPE OF WARRANTY

EBGO’s limited warranty covers the replacement and the repair of the components and parts listed in the following section as well as labor costs. It also covers the reasonable transportation or shipping costs incurred to execute the warranty, that have been approved beforehand by the retailer or the manufacturer.
The warranty is only valid for the period indicated for each of the components and parts concerned. The owner must request replacement or repair of the component or part before the expiry of the warranty period indicated for the components or parts in question.

EBGO’s limited warranty applies to the EAB provided following the return or the exchange of another EBGO EAB.
EBGO’s limited warranty excludes components and parts damaged following:

  • The failure to comply with the assembly instructions set out in the Assembly Manual included with the EAB;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for the intended use of the EAB set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the battery safety instructions set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for initial battery charging set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for charging, maintenance, storage and replacement of the battery set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the maintenance, storage and replacement of the charger set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB maintenance set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB storage set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The inexperience of the EAB user and/or the failure of the EAB user to develop a sufficient understanding of the driving and the operation of the EAB to provide him with a level of appropriate ability and safety;
  • The failure to comply with the inspection of the EAB components and parts and failure to provide the needed corrections;
  • Any error, fault, including any intentional fault or gross fault, omission or negligence of the owner and/or any user of the EAB in the handling, use, transportation, maintenance and/or storage of the EAB, its components, parts and/or the EAB battery and charger;
  • The misuse of the EAB by the owner and/or any user of the EAB;
  • The premature wear of the EAB, its components, its parts and/or the EAB battery due to the handling, use, transportation, maintenance and/or storage of the EAB, its components, its parts and/or the EAB battery by the owner and/or any user;
  • Any error, fault, including intentional or gross fault, omission and/or negligence committed by a third party;
  • Force majeure or act of God;
  • The normal wear of the EAB.

The components and part that wear out normally due to their use are not covered by EBGO limited warranty. These EAB components and parts are, but not limited to:

  • Braking system (levers, cables, discs and stirrups);
  • Clutch system (derailleur, cassette pulley, cables, levers and clutch arms);
  • Tires;
  • Wheels, rims and spokes;
  • Wheel hub (wheels and drive);
  • Chain;
  • Drive and pedals;
  • Screws, bolts, quick-release lever;
  • Suspension;
  • Front fork;
  • Stem;
  • Handlebar;
  • Handles;
  • Saddle stem;
  • Saddle;
  • Paint and finish of the EAB components and parts.

LIMITED WARRANTY OF THE PROPULSION SYSTEM (12 MONTHS)

EBGO guarantees to the EAB owner that the propulsion system included with the EAB is in good working conditions for a period of 12 months following the purchase of the EAB.
The propulsion system is described as consisting of the control console, the accelerator group, the engine, the wire harness components and the electrical wiring.

LIMITED WARRANTY OF THE BATTERY (24 MONTHS)
EBGO guarantees to the EAB owner that the battery included with the EAB is in good working condition for a period of 24 months following the purchase of the EAB.

LIMITED WARRANTY OF THE FRAME (36 MONTHS)

EBGO guarantees to the EAB owner that the frame included with the EAB is in good working conditions for a period of 36 months following the purchase of the EAB.
The EAB frame includes the seat tube, the top tube and the head tube. However, the warranty excludes the paint of the tubes and their finish.
The EAB frames excludes therefore the other EAB components including every electrical component, the paint, the finish, the front fork, the wheels, the tires, the drive gear, the chain, the derailleur, the brakes, the saddle stem, the handlebar and every other component and part of the suspension.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY OF EBGO
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EBGO cannot be held responsible for any damages, including property da-mage, moral damage and/or bodily injury, suffered by the EAB owner, user and/or by any third party resulting from:

  • The failure to comply with the assembly instructions of the EAB set out in the Assembly Guide included with the EAB;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for the intended use of the EAB set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the current legislation and regulations regarding the use of the EAB in any country, state, territory or province where the EAB is used or will be used;
  • The failure to comply with the battery safety instructions set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for initial battery charging set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for charging, maintenance, storage and replacement of the battery set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for maintenance, storage and replacement of the charger set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB maintenance set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The failure to comply with the instructions for the EAB storage set out in the Owner’s Manual;
  • The inexperience of the EAB user and/or the failure of the EAB user to develop a sufficient knowledge of the driving and the operation of the EAB to provide him with a level of appropriate ability and safety;
  • The failure to comply with the inspection of the EAB components and parts and failure to provide the needed corrections;
  • The omission and/or the negligence of the EAB user to comply with the recommended precautions when using the EAB.

Furthermore, EBGO cannot be held responsible for any damages, including property damage, moral damage and/or bodily injury, suffered by the EAB owner, user and/or by any third party resulting from:

  • The end of lifespan of the EAB, its components, its parts and/or the EAB battery;
  • Any error, fault, including any intentional fault or gross fault, omission or negligence on the part of the owner and/or any user of the EAB in the handling, use, transportation, maintenance and/or storage of the EAB, its components, parts and/or the EAB battery;
  • The misuse of the EAB by the owner and/or any user of the EAB;
  • The premature wear and tear of the EAB, its components, its parts and/or the EAB battery due to the handling, use, transportation, maintenance and/or storage of the EAB, its components, its parts and/or the EAB battery by the owner and/or any user;
  • Any error, fault, including intentional or gross fault, omission and/or negligence on the part of a third party;
  • Force majeure or act of God;
  • The normal wear of the EAB.

EBGO notifies the owner and every user of the EAB that the use of the EAB involves inherent risks and dangers that the owner and every user of the EAB agree to assume in full, whatever their nature.
The owner and every user of the EAB accept to release EBGO from all liability and assume sole responsibility for any damage of any kind that they may suf- fer and/or that the owner and user of the EAB or the EAB itself may cause to third parties.

The owner and every user of the EAB waive all claims and proceedings of any kind whatsoever against EBGO, following the occurrence of any damage of any kind they may suffer in connection with the purchase or the use of the EAB or which could be claimed by third parties.

APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

Any litigation or dispute that may arise following the purchase of an EAB at a retailer will be subject to the applicable law of the Province of Quebec. EBGO and the owner elect domicile in the jurisdictional district of Montreal, Province of Quebec, for the institution of any proceedings arising from the interpretation, application, conclusion, terms, validity and effects hereof.
EBGO’s language of use is French. A version of this text is provided in French with the EAB and is available at any time at www.ebgo.ca The French version prevails in case of any interpretation dispute.

CONSOLE INFORMATION

C600 CONSOLE FEATURES
The C600 offers a wide range of functions and indicators tailored to user needs.

  1. RIDING AND MODE SELECTION
    This feature is not available by default.

  2. CURRENT DISPLAY This represents the discharge current of the controller , each segment is 2A.

  3.  SPEED DISPLAY Displays the current speed.

  4. BACKLIGHT INDICATOR
    Once powered on, click ON / OFF and turn on the backlight.

  5. KM/H AND MPH Select KM/H or MPH as the current display unit.

  6. INFORMATION DISPLAY

    • SET: the user enters the configuration interface; the The SET icon will flicker at 1Hz.
    • PAS: displays the current output assist power.
    • Error: displays the current error code.
    • Note: if PAS assistance is at 0, the accelerator will not work.
  7. DISPLAY OF DRIVING INFORMATION
    ODO: ODO records driving mileage to use the accumulated value it cannot be cleared.
    TIME: displays the time at which the speed of a single trip is greater than 1km/h.
    Trip: The display shows the user’s individual driving.

  8. BATTERY INFORMATION DISPLAY
    Electricity percentage display: this function is unavailable by default.
    Voltage display: Shows current battery voltage.
    Cycle time display: this function is unavailable by default. Electric quantity display: shows the quantity of electric current.

WITHOUT PEDALING MODE
To activate the throttle, the level of assistance must be between 1 and 5.

While stopped or running, simply turn the thumb throttle to the right on the handlebar to move forward. To climb some slopes, it is possible that you have to pedal more. Range will decrease depending on the type of roadway, num-ber and degree of slopes, wind force and direction, tire pressure and person weight, and speed above 20km/h.

ASSISTANCE MODE

Use this mode whenever you want to enjoy the benefits of power assistan-ce that makes pedaling easier. (This mode allows for a greater range on the same charge.)

ASSISTANCE (5 LEVELS)

The assistance level indicator is shown in the upper right corner (PAS).

  • POSITION 0
    When you pedal, the engine will not start.

  • POSITION 1
    When you pedal, the engine starts, providing around 10% assistance. This requires slightly less effort to circulate, for example, on a flat path at low speed.

  • POSITION 2
    When you pedal, the engine starts, providing around 15% assistance. This requires less effort, for example, on a flat path at low speed with a light headwind.

  • POSITION 3
    When you pedal, the engine starts, providing around 40% assistance. This requires less effort to climb a small slope.

  • POSITION 4
    When you pedal, the engine starts with around 75% assistance. This requires less effort to climb an average slope.

  • POSITION 5
    When you pedal, the engine starts, providing around 100% assistance. This requires less effort to climb steep slopes or to face strong head winds.

CRUISE CONTROL
Press on the throttle (left on the handlebar) until you reach the desired speed, then hold that speed and press the down arrow on the control panel for a few seconds until you see on display the sign of the cruise control (on top), then release the acceleration handle and the speed will be maintained. To deacti-vate the speed regulator, press the brake lever.

SET COUNTER (TRIP) TO 0
Press the + and – buttond simultaneously for few seconds then release when trip at 0

BACKLIGHTED SCREEN INDICATOR
When powered on, click ON/OFF and turn on the backlight. Click again to turn off the backlight.

FRONT AND REAR LIGHTACTIVATION
Slide the ON/OFF button to turn the light on or off.

The rear light is powered by 2 AA batteries, in order to change the batteries, you need to pull on the black plastic tab under the light. Remove the batteries and insert the new ones. Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time, taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types.
