SEAPISODE 800D Fade and Tear Resistant Trailerable Jon Boat Cover
CAUTION
If your boat is new or has recently changed to new boat accessories, it is not recommended to use this product within the first four weeks of ownership. Some compounds used in new boats can release gases that can cause the dyes in boat covers to transfer to the boat, potentially staining the boat or its components. Boat covers can be safely used after this introductory period.
INSTALLATION
- Find the sewn-in tag marked “Front” and drape the cover over your boat, positioning the sewn-in tag at the front of the boat. Hook the front of the cover over the nose of the boat.
- Pull cover over boat and down evenly on all sides of the boat.
- Include straps to securely attach your boat cover to your boat. To begin, use the straps on the top of the cover and attach the metal ladder lock buckle to the quick-release straps as illustrated in Figure 1. Failing to do this properly will result in the straps becoming loose during use.
- This system allows the cover to be securely fastened to your boat. This arrangement is shown in Figure 2 – the top of the cover is connected by metal ladder locks, and the bottom of the cover is connected by metal hooks
- Cinch all straps tight and adjust their length as necessary to get a tight fit. If using while trailering, be sure to check the cover for a secure fit after the first mile of driving.
CLEANING AND CARE
Proper care will extend the life of your boat cover. If your boat cover becomes dirty it can be cleaned with lukewarm water and a soft brush. DO NOT USE SOAP-it can damage the protective coatings on your cover.
STORAGE
Be sure your cover is completely dry before you store it for any extended period.
TRAILERING
To use your Boat Cover when trailering you MUST use all the included straps-
failure to do so will invalidate your warranty. Be sure to check that all the
straps are tight and firmly attached. After driving the first mile, stop and
check your cover to ensure that all straps are secured correctly.
