NOTE

1. Before closing the lens cover, please use the F+ keys on the remote control to retract the lens, and then slide the lens cover to close.
2. Please do not look directly into the projector lens while working to avoid burning your eyes.
3. Please do not place the machine in a place with high temperature and humidity to avoid failure of internal parts.
4. Please ensure that the projector is adequately ventilated when using it, and do not allow it to come into contact with carpets and woolen knitted clothing.

NOTICE

2. It is recommended to use the home theater projector in a dark environment to get the best effect.

3. Insert the fire tv stick into the HDMI port of the projector. Please select the “HDMI” input source of the corresponding projector to watch Amazon Prime videos, etc.

4. The projector does not support Dolby Audio, please turn off Dolby Audio in the sound settings before playing the video.

5. The Bluetooth connection only supports connecting to an external speaker for louder sound.
   Not for phone data or video transmission.

6. Due to the HDCP copyright protocol, some videos or streaming software (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, Hulu, etc) do not support Screen Mirroring. It’s not the problem with the projector.
   Please project streaming video from your devices via a wired HDMI connection or an external streaming stick such as Fire TV Stick, Roku Stick, or Google Chromecast.

7. To connect the projector to PC or laptop, please adjust the PC/laptop display resolution to 1920*1080 for best clarity.

8. Projector does not support 3D video playback.

9. Before use, move the projector to a suitable distance (recommended distance 3.6-1 Oft feet).
   Please turn the keystone correction knob until the projected image becomes a regular rectangle, and then turn the focus button to make the image clear.

PACKING LIST

Wipe the dust off the machine
Step1: Tear off the sticker on the bottom of the machine.
Step2: Open the cover.
Step3: Carefully search for dust or stain on the LCD screen. Once you find them, do not use hands to remove them.
Note: Use the mirrored image of dust on the projection screen to help locate the dust.
Step4: Dip the cotton swab in rubbing alcohol to remove all the dust Then flip and clean the other side.

REMOTE CNOTROL

Caution

• Before closing the lens cover, please use the F+ keys on the remote control to retract the lens, and then slide the lens cover to close.
• Do not submerge the remote control in water.
• Do not put the remote control near a fire or in a wet/hot place.
• Do not use old and new batteries together in the remote control.
• Please take the batteries out if not using the remote control for a long time to avoid battery leakage.
• Please point the remote control at the IR receiver.
• Please use the remote control within 10ft distance and 30 degree angle.

QUICK START

1. Plug the power cord into an outlet.

2. Move the lens cap to the right.

3. Press the power button on the remote control (or the projector) to turn on the projector. Wait for 5-10 seconds, the multi-media screen will be displayed.

4. Mirror the video wirelessly by connecting to wifi, or connect the device to the projector with the correct cable.

5. Select the correct input source on the projector or remote to project your device.

6. Adjust the kickstand accordingly.

7. Adjust the keystone to make the projection screen rectangular first, then Use the F+ and F- buttons on the remote control to adjust the picture clarity. Or adjust the focus Ring slowly or use to make the center clear. (Please use it in a dark environment.)

8. Press the power button to turn off the projector.

MENU SETTINGS

1. How to go to the Setting?
   Press “ “to select the sub-menu, next press” ” to choose the option as required, and finally press the” OK” to confirm.
   

OPTICAL ADJUSTMENTS

The projector uses an optical keystone correction function, so the image can be adjusted as below:

However, this projector does not have a horizontal keystone correction function. The projector must be placed horizontally to the projection screen. If you encounter the problem as shown above, it is probably because the projector has not been placed  horizontally to the projection screen, or the projection screen is not vertically positioned.
Solution: Adjust the projector’s position so that it is horizontal to the screen.

CONNECTIONS

Playing media from a USB

1. a. Insert a USB storage device into a USB port.
   b. Choose USB as source from the menu.
   c. Choose the content which you need to display: Movie/Music/ Photo/Text.
   d. Choose the file you want to play. Press the “OK” key to play or to pause.

AV video connection
Use a 3-in-1 AV cable to connect to the projector as shown below. Once connected, pick AV at the Signal Sources menu.

VGA connection
Connect the computer and VGA device using the VGA slot. After connecting, select the VGA signal source.

HDMI connection
Use the HDMI slot to connect computers and HDMI compatible devices. Once connected, pick HDMI at the Signal Sources menu.

3.5mm audio connection
Use a 3.5mm audio jack to connect headphones/speakers.
Note: This projector does not support Dolby sound.

How to open the menu:
Press the ” MENU” key on the remote control or the “M” button on the mechine to enter

1. Remote control user guide
   Press the” MENU ” key on the remote control to enter the main menu, then press”[ ]” to enter each sub-menu.
   Press ” [ ]” to select the sub-menu, then adjust the parameters as required, and press the “OK” key to confirm.

Functions of submenus
a. Click on the Bluetooth sub-menu: Search for Bluetooth devices.
b. Network sub-menu: Search for available WiFi routers to connect to.
c. Image sub-menu: Adjust picture mode, color temperature, and noise reduction.
d. Sound sub-menu: Adjust sound mode and volume level.
e. Settings sub-menu: Adjust language/zoom mode/factory reset/screen rotation/OTA software update/version.

CONNECT TO BLUETOOTH SPEAKER

1. Press the “M” button on the device or the “MENU ” button on the remote control and then select Bluetooth.

2. Press “OK” to tum on Bluetooth

3. Select “Search”, press “OK” to search for nearby “Bluetooth”.

Tips: When power on the projector or turn on Bluetooth, the projector attempts to connect the latest connected Bluetooth speaker.

SCREEN MIRRORING

Connect Projector to Wi-Fi Router
Press the” MENU “button on the remote to enter submenus, use the” [ ]” keys to select “Network”.

1. Select WiFi from System Setup menu.

2. Click “Network Off, the projector will search for nearby W-Fi.

3. Select the Wi-Fi you want from the search result list.

4. Enter the password and then click” ↵ ” to connect.

5. Select “Screen Mirroring” from the signal source.

6. Pick the appropriate variant.

Note: “Airplay” corresponds to iPhone; “Miracast” corresponds to Android.

Airplay
Method 1: Wireless connection with Wi-Fi router(Recommended).
A. Select “Airplay” and enter the “Airplay Screen Mirroring” interface.
B. Connect your iOS device to the same Wi-Fi router.
C. Turn on Screen Mirroring on your iOS device, find the projector for pairing.

Mirror your iPhone,iPad or iPod touch
Make sure that your iOS device is connected to the same network as your projector,or connect iOS device with Projector by AP:

1.0n your iOS device, open Control Center and tap screen Mirroring .| 2.Looking for devices that can be mirrored on.| 3. Select “JOWLURK_ AirPlay_xxxx” on  the list.

Airplay
Method 2: Wireless connection without a Wi-Fi router You don’t need to connect the projector to a Wi-Fi router;

1. Select Screen Mirroring function;| 2. Select “Airplay”

3. Turn on Wi-Fi on your iOS device and
search for the network name of the
projector (JOWLURK Airplay-XXXX)| 4. Turn on Screen Mirroring on your iOS
device, find the projector for pairing.

Miracast
A. Select “Miracast” and enter the “Android Screen Mirroring” interface.
B. Enable the “Multiple Screens” function on your Android device and search for the projector “JOWLURK Mircast ”
C. Select “JOWLURK Mircast from the search results to connect.

Notice

1. Some Android devices may not have the screen mirroring function for compatibility.
2. Some Android devices, due to protocol restrictions, may only transmit images without sound.

PROJECTOR INSTALLATION

Please refer to the following diagram for mounting the projector on a ceiling.
Do not place the projector near heat sources to prevent the projector from overheating.

When ceiling mounting the projector, please ensure screws of a suitable quality are used, and that screw depth is deep enough to prevent the projector from falling.

For triangular projection, desk lamp projection, or ceiling projection, please use screws with a depth of 8mm and a hole diameter of 8mm.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

1. Why can’t I mirror/cast Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or Disney videos?
   (1) Due to the HDCP copyright protocol, some videos or streaming software (Net flix, Amazon Prime, Disney, Hulu, etc) do not support Screen Mirroring. This is a common phenomenon in the market. It’s not the problem with the projector.
   (2) If it is an Apple system, please check and turn on Airplay in the settings in Screen Mirroring.
   (3) Confirm that the projected mobile phone/computer is connected to the same home WiFi.
   (4) Reset the settings in Screen Mirroring, and then reconnect to WiFi.
   *HDMI connections help JOWLURK projector with this issue:
   (1) For iPhone, please use an official Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter.
   (2) For PC or laptop, please use the HDMI cable (included).
   (3) For Fire Stick, Roku, and Chromecast, streaming software will work well.

2. What should I do if there is a dark spot, shadow, or line in the projected image?
   Try tapping the projector to see if the dust inside can be shaken off. Clean the lens with non-woven cloth.
   Tear off the label on the bottom of the projector and open the bottom cover, then gently wipe the LCD inside the projector with a cotton swab or use a hair dryer to gently blow off the dust.

3. Why is my projector out of focus and blurry?
   Please adjust the keystone ring and focus ring to optimize image quality.
   Try adjusting the projection size according to the distance between the projector and the screen in 3.6-10ft to get a clear image.

4. Why the projector is not bright enough?
   Please use the home theater projector in a dark environment, it will get the best effect.

5. Can I mirror or cast my smartphone via Bluetooth?
   No, you can’t. All projectors on the market do not support mirroring/casting via Bluetooth. The Blue­ tooth connection only supports connecting to an external Bluetooth speaker or soundbar for louder sound.

6. Why is there no sound/image when I flip the video?
   The projector does not support Dolby Audio, please turn off Dolby Audio in thesound settings before playing the video. Due to the HDCP copyright protection protocol, the projector does not support wireless video streaming from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon  Prime, or Disney over the phone. Please project streaming video from your devices via a wired HDMI connection or an external streaming stick such as Fire TV Stick, Roku Stick, or Google Chromecast.

7. Why does nothing happen when I use the remote control?
   The remote control does not come with batteries, so please prepare two AAA batteries and insert them into the remote control. Point the remote control at the IR receiver on the front or rear of the projector.
   If the remote control has been dropped, contact customer service for replacement.

8. How to upside down the picture?
   Please go to Homepage>Setting>Option>Projection Mode>Front on Ceiling, as your need.

9. Which devices are not compatible?
   Google series and Motorola and other models of mobile phones are not compatible.

10. Why the image freezes?
    (1) Only U disks with memory less than 64GB can be played.
    (2) The 4K video in the USB flash drive cannot be played, but it can be connected to a computer through an HDMI cable for playback. Or reduce the resolution of the video source to no higher than 1080P.
    (3) The router is too far away or the WiFi is connected through the wall, so the WiFi signal is not good.
    (4) You need to reset the settings in Screen Mirroring and then reconnect to WiFi.

11. The power light is always on red, or the power light is not on?
    After plugging in the power cord, please wait for the red indicator light to light up, then briefly press the power button and wait for 10 seconds. If it still cannot be turned on, please contact us to replace the machine.

12. Unable to connect to Bluetooth, or there is a delay in Bluetooth.
    (1) Only supports Bluetooth connections of versions smaller than 5.1. Bluetooth only outputs audio instead of video.
    (2) Contact us to confirm whether the model and brand of the speaker are incompatible.
    (3) Confirm that the network is good and whether the Bluetooth connected device is close enough.

13. Cannot connect to wifi, or always disconnects when connected.
    (1) Reset the settings in Screen Mirroring, and then reconnect to WiFi.
    (2) Place the projector close to the network and do not allow WiFi to connect through the wall, which will weaken the WiFi signal.
    14. How do I close the lens cap?
    Before closing the lens cover, please use the F+ keys on the remote control to retract the lens, and then slide the lens cover to close.
