INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS OF MICA STRIP HEATER
INSTALLATION
1.1 Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when installing and using a
mica strip heater.
Improper installation or use can result in damage to the heater or even injury
to personnel.
1.2 Do not touch the heater while it is in operation. The metal sheath can
become extremely hot, and contact with the heater can result in burns or other
injuries.
1.3 Keep the area around the heater clear of flammable materials. This
includes paper, fabric, and other materials that can ignite if they come into
contact with the heater.
1.4 Use a temperature controller to regulate the temperature of the heater.
This will help prevent overheating and other hazards.
1.5 Make sure that the heater is not exposed to water or other liquids. This
can damage the heater or result in electrical shock.
1.6 Check supply voltage with heater marking & user specifications before
energizing.
1.7 Earthing should be check before energizing the heater.
START-UP INSPECTION
2.1 Check that all terminal connections are tightened properly.
2.2 Ensure no physical damages to the temperature sensors or any other part of
the heater unit.
2.3 To protect the heater, monitor the temperature so that it does not exceed
the set value.
2.4 Do not operate this heater in open-air condition as these heaters require
rapid heat dissipation.
2.5 Please insert these heaters along the frame where you want to use for
heating.
MAINTENANCE
3.1 Disconnect power before performing any maintenance servicing.
3.2 Maintenance and repair should be performed only by qualified personnel.
3.3 Periodically check electrical connections for tightness.
