GENERAL INFORMATION

The coffee pod machine is suitable for the preparation of a cup of coffee. The machine is designed for domestic use and is not suitable for continuous professional operation. Attention: no liability is accepted for any damage in the event of:

  • Use that is incorrect and not in accordance with the intended purposes
  • Repairs not performed at authorised service centres
  • Tampering with the power cord and with any component of the machine
  • The use of non-original spare parts and accessories
  • Failure to perform descaling
  • Storage on premises at temperatures below 0°C
  • The use of pods other than those indicated
In these cases, the warranty will be invalid.

INSTALLATION

Remove the machine from the packaging and place it on a stable surface, suitable to support its weight, near a suitable power outlet. Keep all parts of the packaging for any future transportation. Connect the machine to the mains, paying the utmost attention.
FILLING THE TANK
There are two different ways to refill with water:

  • Remove the lid to access the water tank and fill it with funnel (ref. G)
  • Remove the tank to be filled and place it under a tap then rearranging it in the appropriate compartment

We recommend the use of a softener filter or a descaler bag; the supplied water tank is equipped with a de scaler filter attachment that must be periodically replaced. Failure to do so may result in limescale deposits within the machine that could affect its efficient operation as well as the validity of the warranty. After introducing the softener filter into the tank, fill the tank with drinking water, possibly with a low calcium content.

CONNECTION TO THE MAINS

Before connecting to the mains, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the power supply voltage of the machine indicated on the identification plate. The user cannot change the power supply voltage of the machine.
COFFEE DISPENSING NOZZLE (ref. B)
The coffee dispensing nozzle is located at the front of the machine. Do not touch the nozzle during dispensing. The heating surfaces of the machine are subject to residual heat even after use!

SWITCHING ON
Turn on the machine by pressing the left switch (Ref C) on the upper top; the built-in light on the switch will come on. As soon as it is switched on, the machine activates the boiler heating process; wait until the heating light (ref E) is on. When this occurs it means that the boiler is at optimal operating temperature and that the machine is ready for use.
MAKING A COFFEE

  • Lift the machine lever (ref. F) upwards as shown in fig.1 and insert the pod as shown in fig. 2.
  • FOR THE FIRST DISPENSING : insert a pod in the appropriate slot (ref. H) and lower the lever until it clicks at the end of the stroke. Place a small cup under the nozzle and press the dispensing switch (ref. D); coffee dispensing will begin after a few seconds. Once the desired level has been reached in the cup, press the dispensing switch again to stop it. If, during the dispensing, the heating light (ref.  E) comes off, this means that the machine is heating up to bring the water to the optimal temperature; dispensing can therefore safely continue. Once the coffee has been  dispensed, it is advisable to remove the pod to prevent it from sticking when drying. Instead, it is advisable to wait for the afore-mentioned light (ref. E) to come on before dispensing the next coffee.
  • FOR ALL SUBSEQUENT DISPENSINGS: wait one minute from the previous dispensing and proceed exactly as above.
  • Do not insert fingers inside the pod insertion slot (ref. H): danger of crushing and/or burns!
  • It is advisable to empty the water collection tray (ref. A) every day.

CLEANING THE MACHINE

  • Do not use the dishwasher to clean the machine or its components. They will be irreparably dama-ged! Do not use solvents and abrasive products or materials.
  • The machine must be cleaned with the machine off, with the exception of the dispenser unit. To clean the external surface of the machine, only use a soft cloth moistened with water. The water collection tray (ref. A) must be extracted and washed with hot water and detergent using a non-abrasive sponge and must be thoroughly dried before being reinserted. If it is necessary to clean the water tank, use hot water.
  • If cleaning detergents are used to clean the tank, be sure to rinse it thoroughly, as any chemical residues inside the tank could cause food poisoning hazards.

ANOMALIES AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

  • Repairs must only be carried out by authorised and competent personnel. If you are unable to troubleshoot with the help of this table, contact your Authorised Dealer.
  • Any repairs carried out not respecting the manufacturer’s production specifications and/or using non-original spare parts may be a source of danger to the user. The machine requires the presence of water in the tank to be able to operate. If there is no water in the tank for several dispensing cycles, this could cause the pump to burn out.
