PROGRAMMING

The 3 programmable buttons are used exclusively to set the grinding time in seconds (GbT models) or the weight setting in grams (GbW models).

Factory setting

T models: 1=4.3 sec / 2=5.6 sec / 3=7.0 sec
W models: 1=Fig.1 Fig.2 14g / 2=18g / 3=22g

Adjust the doses:

1. Select a button (1, 2, 3)
2. Press + / – to adjust time (sec) or weight (g).
3. Once the desired grinding time or weight has been reached, press and hold the corresponding button for 3 seconds. When the display flashes and an alert sounds (GbW only), the setting is confirmed.
4. To program the other buttons, repeat points 1-3

W models: If the grinder is in time mode when starting up, press STOP and 1 simultaneously (for 5 seconds) to enter weighing mode.

GRIND ADJUSTMENT

The adjustment (5) consists of a stepped macro (upper ring, distance 0.1mm) and a stepless micro adjustment (lower ring, distance 0.01mm).

Recommended settings

(dependent on roast/roast level)

Ristretto: Macro 4-8, Micro 1
Espresso: Macro 6-10, Micro 1
LonghI: macro 8-12, micro 1

NOTE: Adjustment of more than 1 step on the macro ring or more than 5 steps on the micro ring should only be executed while grinding

  • With the grinder running, turn the macro ring to the right for finer settings (FINE direction) or to the left for coarser settings (COARSE direction).
  • The pointer marks the selected setting
  • The stepless micro ring ranges from coarse (11) to fine (1) and may be used for fine tuning
  • Notch 1 on the macro ring serves as the zero point for the micro adjustment.

GRINDING PROCESS

  • Place the portafilter in the holder and press the desired button (1, 2, 3) followed by START (during the grinding process, the grinding time in seconds or the weight in grams is displayed)
  • The grinder stops as soon as the programmed grinding time or weight is reached (+/- 0.1/0.2g)
