SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

INTRODUCTION

An electro-mechanical height-adjustable work surface with a control interface to adjust the height up and down. This product can be used by children aged from 14 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved by a person responsible for their safety. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

Every person who is responsible for this table at installation or employment of the table in daily use or in service and repair work should carefully read these instructions. Keep these instructions close to your sit/stand table.

Installation instructions

The table is assembled according to separate assembly instructions. Connect one side of the 90-degree connection cable (50mm long) to the M1 port on the control box, then connect the other side to the cable from the leg.
Connect the cable from the other leg to the M2 port on the control box. Connect the hand controller to the HS port and the power supply to the AC port on the control box. The control box should be placed in the tray created by the frame, and the electrical cable should be placed in the felt tray on the back. Position the electrical cable so it does not get damaged. Please check the assembly instructions. Connect the electrical cable to a wall socket (or a socket placed in the felt tray).
Note! The electrical cable must have full mobility.
The table is now ready for use. The motors will stop automatically when the table reaches its lowest or highest position respectively.

Usage of the table

The table shall only be used as a working table with the possibility to continuously adjust the working height between sitting and standing positions. The table shall only be used indoors and in dry premises (office environment or similar).
The table must not be overloaded – maximum load is 80 kg/176 lbs.
The motors may be run continuously for a maximum of 2 minutes. Afterwards, the motors must rest for approx. 18 minutes. before they can be used again.

Follow these instructions when adjusting table height:

  1. Make sure all cables are connected firmly in place.
  2. Make sure no objects are in the way of the table so that the height can adjust freely.
  3. Press the up/down buttons on the hand controller to adjust the desk height.

Safety regulations

When the table moves up/down, keep the necessary safety distance to avoid the risk of entrapment between the moving table top and fixed objects in the surrounding area. When the table moves up/down, the user shall keep watch so that nobody is injured or no object is damaged. The table top must not be blocked by a fixed object which may risk that the table overturns. Always remove any office chair before the table moves up/down. The table tripod must not be altered or reconstructed in any way. In service and repair work of the table, the electrical cable must always be disconnected from the wall socket (the connected socket). Alterations to the control box and hand controller are absolutely forbidden! Alterations to the legs are absolutely forbidden! The table must not be used as a hoisting device for persons.

Maintenance and repair instructions

After approx. 1 week of use, check that the screws are properly tightened. If the table cannot be lowered or raised, check the connections between the desk power plug and the wall socket (the socket) and ensure that all cables are connected firmly in place. If any part of the electrical height-adjustable table needs to be replaced, the electrical cable must be first disconnected from the wall socket (the socket). After finishing the replacement, then connect the electrical cable to the wall socket (the socket) and then finish the reset process according to the reset instructions. After resetting successfully without any problems, the table is ready for use. If the table still does not work, please contact your nearest IKEA store or customer service.

Collision detection

  • The system is designed to avoid possible damages to equipment due to collision. When the desk detects a sudden change in resistance, it will stop the movement and move in the reverse direction by approximately 30 mm-50 mm (depends on the movement speed, collision force and the load during collision).
