There is an updated brush, the Philips Sonicare A3 Premium All-in-One Toothbrush Head. These new brush heads are available on Amazon. The new Sonicare toothbrush does not come with a uv compartment. I do not know how old your uv compartment is, so I do not know if the uv compartment now available on Amazon is an updated model.

I placed an order a week ago, and it’s not shipped yet; now it’s unavailable. Will my order be shipped soon? Or should I request a refund?****
You should have gotten a message either directly from the vendor or from Amazon. A refund will be issued by Amazon once they determine the order cannot be fulfilled. It WILL take some time about a month or so.
WIll this work with expired brush head?****
I’ve used Sonicare for years, and I presume an old toothbrush will work. But, you’re doing yourself a disservice because an old toothbrush won’t clean your mouth well.
Just received it and charged it for 24 hrs. The charge status is 96%. Is that normal or should it be 100%?****
My unit had to be replaced because my tooth brush was not holding a charge more than a couple days. What happened was my tooth brush would flash amber after a couple days and according to the manual, you need to charge it when it flashes amber. I would call Phillips Customer service and have it replaced.
Can you charge the 9900 in the 9700 charging glass cup holder? We do not like the 9900 charging stand.****
I do not think the chargers are interchangeable. You may want to call sonicare to be sure though.

No, we recommend not to use the Philips Sonicare Prestige 9900 toothbrush while bathing.
