Product Usage Instructions
Pre-Requisite:
- Open the ATOM Hub enclosure using a screwdriver (PH0 / PH1)
- Have a Z-Wave hardware-compatible module ready (e.g., Z-Pi7)
- Ensure you have the 10 Pin FRC/IDC Female to Female connector with Flat Ribbon Cable (included with the ATOM Hub device)
Steps:
- Unplug the device and keep it upside down
- Remove the rubber feet
- Use a screwdriver (PH0 / PH1) to remove all four screws
- Carefully flip the device so the cover is on top
- Remove the top cover to reveal PIN P6 set labeled ‘Z-Wave’
- Place the Z-Wave module (blue colored) on the other end of the connector as shown
- The module is now ready for the next step
- Connect the power and ethernet cables
- Your device is now set up for DIY Home Automation on a Z-Wave network

ClodPi Labs ATOM Hub for Home Assistant can be integrated with a Z-Wave module thereby easily you can build the Smart Home base on a DIY platform like the Raspberry and use an Open-Source software like Home Assistant to empower your Z-Wave network.
Pre-Requisite:
- We need to open up the ATOM Hub enclosure using a screwdriver (PH0 / PH1)
- Z-Wave hardware compatible module. Ex: Z-Pi7
- 10 Pin FRC/IDC Female to Female connector with Flat Ribbon Cable 10 cm (*provided with the ATOM Hub device)
Steps:
- Take the device, do not connect to power and the internet.
- Keep the device upside down
- Remove the rubber feet.
- Take a screwdriver (PH0 / PH1) and remove all the four screws
- Cautiously pick the device and keep it in a way with a cover is at the top
- Remove the top cover
- Observe the PIN P6 set labeled ‘Z-Wave’
- Prepare the IO/base Board for mounting:
- Take the “10 Pin FRC/IDC Female to Female connector with Flat Ribbon Cable 10 cm”. Refer adjacent image.
- Place the connector and fit on P6 as shown in next image.
- Take The Z-Wave module (blue colored) and place it on the other end of the Connector as shown is adjacent image.
- The module should now be ready for the next step.
- Connect the power
- Connect the ethernet
- Your device is ready to use for your DIY Home Automation on the Z-Wave network.
