  • After switching off, the attachments continue running for a short time. Do not handle the machine until the moving parts have come to a complete stop.
  • Do not get close to these parts while they are still moving. Also keep all kitchen utensils, e.g. spoons, away from the attachments.

BEWARE of material damage

  • This machine must only be used to process food of the type that it is designed to work with. Hard food items, such as ice cubes and coffee beans, are not appropriate for use with this machine.
  • The machine is designed to run for a short time only, up to a maximum of 5 minutes for heavy doughs, or 10 minutes for liquids. After operation, the machine must be allowed to cool down for about 15 minutes, minimum, before being used again.
  • When operating the machine, only use the accessories provided with it. When operating the machine, only use the mixing bowl provided.
  • The machine must never be placed or operated near strong sources of heat, e.g. hot plates.
  • The base of the machine has rubber suction feet, designed to ensure that the machine remains firmly in place when running. Because of the wide range of different materials used to make work surfaces, and the wide variety of care products used on them, it is impossible to completely rule out the possibility that some of these substances could contain components that could damage and weaken the feet. If necessary, place a non-slip pad underneath the machine.
  • When the food processor is operating, splashes may occur occasionally. Make sure that your machine is placed on a stable, resistant surface that is easy to wipe clean.
  • Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents, abrasives, hard sponges, etc. for cleaning.
  • Never hold the machine by the swivel arm to handle or carry it. Always hold the machine with both hands supporting the underside, when you need to carry it.
  • Use only original accessories.

Intended use

  • This machine is used for mixing and blending foods that are appropriate for food processing, e.g. dough, eggs, cream, etc.
  • The machine is intended exclusively for private use indoors and is not suitable for commercial use.
  • Use the machine only as described in this operating manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury.
  • The manufacturer or dealer assumes no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

Select power level

Use the rotary switch to select the power level.

  • 1-2: low speed
  • 3-4: medium speed
  • 5-6: high speed

Recommended speed settings for the different attachments:

Attachment Level Mixing
Dough hook 1 – 2 Heavy doughs (e.g. bread dough, shortcrust pastry or

pasta)
3 – 4| Medium-heavy doughs (e.g. cake mixture)
Whisk| 5 – 6| Whipping liquids, cream, egg whites or puddings
Flat beater| 3 – 6| Lighter mixtures (e.g. sponge cake mixtures, pancake batter, etc.) and mixing and stirring in of ingredients
Attachment| Level| Mixing
---|---|---
Depending on application| P| Pulse mode: short, powerful, high-speed pulsing action. Use this function if you want to mix liquids briefly, for example, but at high speed.

The rotary switch will not engage in this position, in order to prevent the motor being overloaded. The switch must only be held in this position for a short time.

| 0| Off

Always follow the instructions provided by food producers and recipes, for how long and how fast to mix.

Use

NOTE on material damage

  • Do not overfill the mixing bowl. The motor could overheat. The maximum quantity of ingredients that can be mixed using the dough hook is 1.0 kg. Always keep to the MAX marking (= lower edge of logo on the mixing bowl).
  • Remove any fruit stones (pits) and meat bones, as these could damage the attachments.
  • The motor is stressed and heated differently depending on the load. The machine must therefore only be operated for a few minutes at a time, and must then be allowed to cool down for 15 minutes. For heavy dough: 5 minutes, followed by a cooling period.

Liquids: 10 minutes, followed by a cooling period.

General operating instructions

  • Any chilled ingredients such as butter and eggs should always be brought to room temperature before use in the food processor.
  • Start with 15–20 seconds at speed 1. This will prevent loose ingredients from being thrown out.
  • When most of the powdered and liquid ingredients are mixed together, select speed 2 for about 15 seconds.
  • Next, select a higher speed and continue until the dough is blended smoothly.
  • Switch off the food processor after use, by setting the speed control to 0 and then disconnecting the plug from the mains outlet.

Mixing and kneading dough

  • Refer to the detailed information in the “Basic functions” chapter.
  • You may need to remove dough from the edge of the mixing bowl during the process. In this case:
    • Switch the food processor off.
    • Lift up the swivel arm.
    • Scrape the dough off the side of the mixing bowl with a plastic implement (not included) and put it back in the middle of the bowl.
  1. Make sure that your machine is placed on a solid, level surface that is easy to clean.

  2. Lift up the swivel arm.

  3. Slide the protection disc onto the dough hook or the flat beater.

  4. Place the mixing bowl holder onto the mixing bowl holder and lock it into position.

  5. Push the attachment onto the drive shaft.

  6. Place the dough in the mixing bowl.
Our recommendation: Mix flour and water in a ratio of 5:3. Fill the mixing bowl to a maximum of 3/4 full. The maximum filling weight of 1 kg must not be exceeded.

  7. Lower the swivel arm again.

  8. Slide the splash guard sideways onto the mixing bowl.

  9. Plug the power cord into the mains outlet.

  10.  Turn the rotary switch to select the following settings in sequence:

  11. Speed 1: min. 30 seconds, then

  12. Speed 2: min. 30 seconds, then

  13. Speed 3: about 3 minutes.

Whipping egg whites or cream

  1. Make sure that your machine is placed on a solid, level surface that is easy to clean.
  2. Lift up the swivel arm.
  3. Push the protection disc onto the whisk.
  4. Push the attachment onto the drive shaft.
  5. Place the mixing bowl holder onto the mixing bowl holder and lock it into position.
  6.  Place the food to be processed into the mixing bowl:
    • the whites of up to 12 freshly beaten eggs or
    • 250 ml fresh cream (maximum).
  7. Lower the swivel arm again.
  8. Slide the splash guard sideways onto the mixing bowl.
  9. Plug the power cord into the mains outlet.
