Troubleshooting

In the event of faults that you cannot rectify yourself, contact our Service Centre. You will find the contact details on the enclosed warranty card.

Problem Possible cause Troubleshooting
The product does not work. The mains plug is not connected to a socket.

Connect the product to a properly installed power outlet.
The timer 4 is not set.| Set the timer to the desired position to set the cooking time and start cooking.
The food is undercooked.| The filling quantity is too high.| Fill the frying basket 7 with small pieces. Smaller pieces cook more evenly.
The food is not cooked evenly.| Food is too close together.| Shake the frying basket to distribute the food evenly. Some food needs to be shaken after about half the cooking time.
The fried food is not crispy enough.| You have used unsuitable food for the product.| Use oven-safe or lightly greased snacks for crispier results.
The frying basket cannot be fully inserted into the product.| The frying basket is overfilled.| Do not fill the frying basket higher than the MAX

mark 10 .

White smoke in the product.| The food is greasy.| When preparing greasy food, fat drips into the deep-frying pot. The fat creates more heat than normal in the frying pot – this does not affect the product or the cooking result.
| The frying pot still has fat residues from the previous cooking process.| Fat residues burn in the frying chamber. Clean the frying pot after each use.
Fresh french fries are not fried evenly.| The potato sticks have not been soaked sufficiently.| Place the potato sticks in cold water for about ½ hour so that the starch can escape. Dry them with kitchen paper before filling.
The potato variety is not suitable for deep frying.
Fresh fries do not become crispy.| The potatoes are too moist.| The crispiness depends on the water and starch content of the potato variety and the amount of oil.
Dry the potatoes carefully and then cover them with about ½ tablespoon of oil.
Cut the potatoes into smaller pieces.
